He was under Ireland right? I just don't get the big support for him, but I don't know enough about him to judge either way. Just wondering why he's so high on everyone's list.

He has a background on the scouting side of the house which should be a key point when hiring.
I don't have specific details as to why he's respected around the league but that's what is being reported. Take it for what it's worth I guess.

That's the drawback. Though we know he was instrumental in finding Wake it's hard to say how much influence he had on draft picks.Me either. It is just nepotism with the homers around here. There is nothing he has done that they can point to. It is just like Philbin. They like him for "feel good" reasons, but there is nothing as far as the X's and O's of football they can point to.

It is just like Philbin. They like him for "feel good" reasons, but there is nothing as far as the X's and O's of football they can point. <Philbin has reduced the amount of penalties and penalty yardage.
Definitely one improvement you can point to.
