Last year Wanny had his mind up on Fiedler against Feeley and he went with the former. This year Saban apparently has had his mind made up on Gus and probably will go with him. The only real chance Feeley had in a game was in a hall of fame game against the Bears, technically not counted as a pre-season game. Feeley did not do great but D. Thompson dropped that pass too. Feeley did not get a fighter's chance. The last two games, good or bad we stuck with Gus.

So what's the difference between Wanny and Saban when judging QBs?

amount of working with the first team in practices.

Feeley didn't lose the starting job because of the Hall of Fame game. The plan from the very start was to let both QBs work with the first team in a preseason game. Feeley "lost" the job because of his HORRIBLE performance in the Jaguars game.

I bet Saban can grow a full mustache. :rofl3:

Wanny asked Marino to retire while Saban cut Fiedler.

when it comes to fickle dolphins fans, there is no difference. we judge a player or coach on each game, each play. similar to yankee fans but yankee fans are allowed to be that way.

So did Gus lose it back with his HORRIBLE performance in this game. And dont use excuses for his play..cuz you wouldnt accept any from Feeley's bad game.

If Saban starts gus {his guy} over Feeley {not his guy} then there is no difference.

Unless, of course, Gus does something in the next 2 games to separate himself from AJ. IMO he will start the guy who plays better.

If he starts gus this week, the decision is made and it won't be because gus earned the job.

Maybe. But if Gus plays poorly 2 weeks in row and AJ plays well again, he may not have a choice but to give AJ a shot in the final game.

If Saban has decided to start Gus no matter what, then he's no different than Wanny when it comes to the QB.

The difference: Wanny was down with the Feeley trade and STILL didn't name him starter. Saban inherited Feeley and STILL won't name him a starter = FEELEY SUCKS.
So, maybe there is no difference at all.
