Is it Vernon Gholston v Big Jake- I think this is a good matchup so what VG beat him ONCE in college i think Jake is good put him on his butt a few time

Our Front 7 v the Packers O-line- From what i see in camp Ferguson is tkaing up two guys Vonnie is playing awesome and Merling and Langford are impressing and our LB core seems that its ready to bring the noise

Our secondary v Brett Farve- Big news Farve is traded looks like the cry baby and immortal god (according to ESPN) got his wish yeah he can do stuff to make you say wow but then will have a game with 4 picks. Our secondary looks good the additions we made are playing hard and making plays shoudl be interesting

and my favortie
Joey Porter v Farve- Joey can hit you like a charging bull just watch that sports science clip on youtube or something. Joey will get atleast one shot at him can the old man get back up after JP levels him. DOUBT IT. Go get him Joey give him alittle something extra remember hes "special"

The fact that our defense will likely be facing Farve week one should get our defense more motivated, we get a chance to spoil a future hall of famers debut with the hated JETS, I know Porter and crew will be on Farve's butt all day long. I see this a good thing.:hi5:

chillwill you are so right i see more teammates pulling Farve off the ground then him completing passes. I think the Jets will get a ton of blitzing or atleast a special scheme to bring some pain.

How awesome would it be if Farves game streak ended due to a Miami Dolphin JACKING him up

I don't think Brett Favre will be ready by week 1. i think it's Clemons first game....

Cant wait to see Gholston vs Long if it happens, Pace could be on that side against Long however.

It's obviously Favre vs. Miami in his first game as a Jet, I think this trade helps you guys week 1 b/c obviously it's going to be difficult to get up to sepped w/ about a month to go before the season starts.

I'd take our front 7 against the PACKERS O-Line....we'll dominate them ESPECIALLY since we won't be playing them! LOL

The Florida heat is going to cripple the old man. I just hope he doesn't get heat stroke.

Can you imagine the media circus if we pick up Pennington?

Finkle=Einhorn......Einhorn=Finkle..........Fiedler=Pennington.........Pennington=Fiedler

So if Miami wins, is that the reasoning?

gholston will play but snt slated to start at this point, he having a hard time adjusting to playing OLB, in colllege he played DE.

The biggest deficiency I see on defense is not the talent but the cohesion of the units. The linebacking corps is newly assembled and the defensive backs have essentially not been together as a unit. The D-line can have a handful of guys in the rotation to occupy blockers but the linebackers have to be unified in attacking the ballcarrier. They will have had just a handful of weeks' experience together making the linebackers the vulnerable part of the run defense.

And that may be the good news for the defensive backfield -- they won't be pressured much because opponents will likely be able to run against the Fins (though probably not to the tune of 150+ yards per game like last season). It'll give them time to gel as a unit. If opponents attack the DBs early, however, it could get ugly.

Offense is taking shape nicely, built around a solid O-line and a set of nice RBs (RB, RW, and JP, with BG at FB). Defense, however, remains highly suspect.
