Was he ever brought in for a second interview?

That's who I favor as the leading candidate for our HC position.

I don't think he was ever brought in and he is no longer up for the job. it's between Mora jr and Gailey

If it really is between Mora an Gailey, I'd at least hope they bring Tomlin and Cameron back for 2nd interviews. Even Jim Caldwell from Indy deserves a look once the Colts are done.

I'd be willing to wait to talk to Caldwell. Capers was a head coach twice--send him and Mueller to the Senior Bowl. You won't be able to do as much of the schmoozing for assistant coaches, but maybe that's just part of the price you have to pay.

we won't be waiting that long, Caldwell is in the playoffs and can't be interviewed until he's out. I fully expect someone to be hired by the end of the day

I'd expect someone to be hired by the end of the week. The end of today wouldn't surprise me. But it just seems like the totally wrong decision will be made if it's Mora or Gailey, considering Wayne said he'd do whatever it takes, pay as much as it costs to find the right guy. If either are hired, between Mora and Gailey, I hope they prove me wrong, but I just don't think either of them is the right answer and the search should be continued.

well they both fit the criteria that Wayne wants, they both have previous HC experience and can manage the team with the current coaching staff in place. neither one will want full control over personnel so they fit. he doesn't want to go with an unknown like Tomlin or young Schottenheimer

I like Gailey because of a few reasons, he is commited to the run, he has previous head coaching success and he is familair with the current staff

I'm guessing winning big games as a HC wasn't a main point of criteria??
