Whats Up With Charles Clay????

First off, if Carroll or Wilson are seeing all that much time, then we've really had a problem. Second of all, I know of no reason why Will Allen would be that much better at his age.

So who plays the boundary if Smith is moved inside to cover a TE for a key 3rd down? What if the Pats go 4 or 5 wide? Last year I seem to remember our staff having more faith in 36 year old All Harris, until he got hurt, than Nolan Carroll when they did these sort of things. Allen is 3 years younger than Harris and both were coming off serious injuries. I agree the 4th CB won't be a staple on the field but he will play, we have always gotten them in their before.

Maybe these new guys are better than Allen, maybe Allen will be re-signed next week. time will tell.

Calm down everybody clay is not going to be used as a "blocking fullback", yes he will lineup in the backfield at times as a fullback but he be used like chris cooley an H-back, he will come out of the backfield and run a route and will lineup at TE too, hilliard will be used as the "blocking fullback", he is a thumper and actually is a better blocker that polite just watch you-tube footage, and anyways polite was the worst rated blocker in the NFL last year so his blocking is not as good as people think, hilliard will handle the short yardage situations that polite did.

If the Pats go 4 and 5 wide, that's what we have safeties for, seeing as there won't be other guys on the field for them to cover. We're not gonna put 5 CB's out on the field, not when we have 3 safeties far more talented than anything behind our top 3, or even 2, CB's
