He looked promising at this time last year . . .Do the Dolphins expect him to contribute this year??

with all the fuss being made about Ginn, I was wondering why their hasn't been much discussion about Hagan . . .

i think he'll be much improved from last year and will have a breakout year and eventually edge out booker for the #2 spot or at least get a lot more playing time

I think the coaches are very high on him thats why they are trying 2 trare booker.

Very quiet about Hagan all offseason. Where is he hiding?
According to the minicamp reports(i know its minicamp which doesn't mean alot) he was catching everything everything that was thrown to him including some spectacular catches and didn't drop one pass.

Well, that would be a 180 degree turn from how he was catching the ball last season. Yes, he was a rookie last year, but he looked an awful lot like Chambers...i.e. dropping easy passes. I hope they don`t room together. Be nice to see him play up to his potential this year though, we need it.

The one thing you really have to focus on with Derek Hagan is how hard a worker he is. That means he has a shot to be something in this league. He has already looked good, and he's a natural at getting open. Now he needs to get comfortable making grabs at full speed.

By all means it does look like they are high on Hagan, with the rumors of trying to trade Booker.

On the other hand, it appears they've moved Chambers out to Split End some and that crowds Hagan out of the lineup...which is probably why they've been shopping Booker around, because they'd prefer to have our top 3 WRs be Ginn, Chambers, and Hagan. Ginn, Chambers, and Hakim (or Kelly Campbell) would all be capable of playing in the slot, or at Flanker. Chambers would be the only guy among them that can play all three positions. Hagan would be the top backup at Split End, with Chambers most likely moving into the slot.

Hagan has the opportunity to showcase himself a little bit, and if he does, they MAY be tempted to unload Chambers' large contract and underperforming habits...but that would be tough because if Chambers does transition to Split End, he holds a lot of value in his ability to be dangerous from all three positions.

The guy can defitnetly get open, last year he was Joey's favorite target, If he can only hang on to the ball he could real special in this league.
