When is see several players needing to play out of position it just confirms that we have **** all as far as talent in critical areas. You are going to have 4 or 5 UDFA getting good PT throughout the season, we have 1 o-lineman that is worth a **** and the rest are just different types of ****. You are worried about Minkah? I wouldn't worry about him, dude will be prepared and do the best he can...just understand...he and Howard are the only aces in the back of that defense filled with ****ing uno cards.

Yup^

When there will be at least one person on either side of the ball consistently not able to do their job so as a result, our whole team is going to look exposed often.

I'm not sure why there is so much legit worry about him or griping about where he lines up. It's pretty obvious he isn't being tied to a specific role - not just for our team, but most defenses have evolved a bit where versatility is key. It's apparent they want Minkah to just be on the field, in the middle, disrupting. Period. It doesn't matter if he's lined up as a slot, or as a safety, or standing right in the middle - they want him involved all the time. That's all you really need to understand. Official position is going to be pointless for him.

Still looks disinterested still tackling at a replacement level.

Week 1 he has to be better.

I’m not seeing usage issues I’m seeing player ehh type effort ones

I tend to agree. More than that -- I catch a faint scent of prima donna or diva
going on with the kid (i.e., kinda spoiled a little) and Flores is challenging him
psychologically to toughen him up...

Given the hype about him -- is he just a slot corner? Can he grow/adapt into
this hybrid position (which seems to be the experiential right now)?

I think the expectations the staff has for the kid are high and he needs to
embrace the challenge and stop making excuses about his weight etc.

Get out there and play with some freaking FIRE and find a way to make impact plays.

Either that or he's not the dude they're hoping for.

I think he played as late as he did cause Flores was sending a message.

Don’t talk. That goes for your family too. But outside of a nice tight end crosser break up he’s just not playing well enough.

Step it up.

Flores is definitely challenging certain players to play outside their
prior comfort zone because he not only wants flexibility he's insisting
on it. A player as smart as Minkah should be able to adapt and evolve
his game to accommodate multiple roles and find a way to make plays.

There's like ZERO chance IMO Flores is gonna make certain players his "pet"
and baby them. In fact it's obvious the more talent you have the more he's
going to expect...

I like it.

That’s a good point the more talent you have the higher expectations are.

Yeah I think that’s exactly how Flores does it.

We aren’t settling for squat

Wow, wouldn't THAT be refreshing!

:)

Minkahs play lately is very Jason Allen like, not good, step it up Man, we have seen flashes of really good, hope that’s what we see moving forward.

On another note I really like the Wiltz kids compete. I’d carry him
