Whats up with the ganggreen message boards

i just tried to creat an account at theganggreen.com message boards just to wish some jet fans good luck and maybe heckel em a little but never to much lol.
anyways you have to have a paid email account for them to let you access or post on the message boards .. isnt this stupid .. maybe they are just trying to keep fin fans from lurking on there site this week ..

I have been a member there for a long time. The paid account is probably so trolls can not keep creating quick new e-mail addresses and popping up again.

It's a good site and a lot of the members are good about talking ball, smacking it up a little bit, etc. There are always a few of those classic type Jet fans hanging around. But well moderated and a good place to go.

So use your real e-mail account, or pay and get one and join!

i did use my real email account and im sure it is a good place to go im not trying to go and wreak havoc on them or anything i just think its bs that one has to pay for email just to creat an account.. few things in life are free and email is one of them why in the hell would i pay for email just to talk to a jets fan

Because all of the internet activity is supported by less than half of its users.
This site is a great example. We have over 10,000 members but have to constantly do revenue drives because the majority do not contribute. There is a cost to running sites, and delivering e-mail, etc.
It is also those non-payers (not saying you) who think they have the right to go in and trash a forum because they have no risk. Because of that sites have to put controls in so someone does not go in using 10 bogus hotmail accounts to trash up the site.
I respect that the have to control their board how they see fit. Because they do is why it is probably the best jets site.
