What's up with the Pats

I know as Dolphin fans we all hope for the Pats to do bad in FA, but what is up with them. So far they have lost Willie McGinest, Adam Vinitaeri, Tyrone Pool, and David Givens. Usually, it seems over the past couple of years that any player they have that becomes a FA, goes back, its strange. I don't think that they have even signed a FA, at least not a big name one. I'm just wanting to know if anyone on here knows whats up with them. Are they strained for caproom? Did Bellichick lose a bet to Saban where he has to give up the AFC East title for a year? What!?

It doesnt concern me who they lost, it concerns me they havent added anyone....do they seriously think that they are good enough as they are to win the divison?

I believe that thier past contract extensions, re-signing etc is Finally caught up with them...

The Patriots are $20 million under the cap, there are plenty of free agents available, and they've got a whole slew of draft picks.

Their strategy this year is the same it is every year - let the overpriced free agents go elsewhere and then a couple of weeks into the process, start targeting guys who represent good value.

So far, all they've lost for the most part are guys in their mid-30's who are getting long-term, big money contracts. Givens is the exception, but I think you can argue that he got too much money from the Titans.

The Patriots' track record is too good in recent years for me to suggest they're making mistakes. Quick... name one guy they've let go in the past five years that's come back to haunt them. I can't think of any.

Drew Bledsoe :goof:. Actually, I think that losing Viniatieri will hurt them,a nd I think the Colts might have actually changed their playoff luck just by signing him. Reche Caldwell kinda slipped under the radar, I know some teams that could have benefitted from having him.
