Just wondering if its normal to have 5 TEs.
I imagine someone will get the axe when the 53 man deadline comes.

Heres the list per the teams homepage.
I would like to see 2 good Pass/Blocking TEs in a 2 TE set. That would work wonders for the runnuing game and play action. It is also a confusing set for defenses, they need to back off the Blitzing and linebackers have to watch the RB as well as short passes to TEs. Regardless Im very excited about this year. We look really good on paper so far.
What do you guys think?

McMichael-no brainer why hes on the list
Teyo Johnson-dont know much about him
Peele- my guess is Houck knows him to be a good blocker.
Alex Holmes-If hes good then why pick up other TEs?
Jason Rader- Hes on the web page roster, I dont know if its updated. I have no idea who he is.

Thats 5 TEs. I imagine its going to be open competition for the 3 or 4 spots.

Go Phins:dolphins: :dolphins:  :dolphins: :dolphins:

my guess is randy, teyo, and peele make the team, Randy and Teyo as the receive TE and and peel as the blocker, and holmes will make the practice squad

Randy - of corse will make the team

Alex Holmes - Although he played the last 5 or 6 games of the season has an outside chance to make it on the team this year. IMO

Jason Rader - Showed promise in the early 05' pre season games, will also have a hard time making the roster

Peele - Will most likely compete with Teyo as the #2 TE, but will most likely make the team based on his blocking skills

Teyo - A great talent that really hasn't shined yet. if he gets his act together, he should make the team as the #2 recieving TE. If he fails he could be the #3 or get cut straight up, making room for Holmes or Rader.

You beat me to it. But I'm sure we all had that thought pop in our heads after reading that thread topic.:ffic:

Teyo will double as a 4th/5th wide reciever.

Bank on it.

I didn't know we got Teyo Johnson. when was this?
Anyone got a link...also, I love him...he's HUGE (literally). He'll be a great threat in the red zone!!

Tightends are a difference maker.....if the Defense is keying on the obvious ....the TE can hit you for 6 or a big gain....or we need people for the 16 game season plus playoffs to be able to put DE ON THEIR BUTTS.....SO A GOOD BLOCKING TE is really needed.

Maybe it's me but maybe just maybe they will trade Randy for a draft pick... he does drop alot of balls and he really isn't a very good at blocking...

So he may be on the trade block later.

Yeah I know he is a crowd favorite, and when he does catch he's great but you have to admit he does have dry spells too, plus he seems to get into trouble every off season with his wife...
