What's with Ginn's Returns, "go left, slow down fall at the 20

Ginn needs to start learning how to run north/south and stop with his east/west crap and thinking he's going to outrun NFL defenders. Not gonna happen Teddy

our special teams is terrible. even if ginn has a great return you can expect a flag down. thast been the case his first 28 games. we had what, 4 td's called back last year? 2 this year? :shakeno: we need to try to get bobby april (yes he is on the bills) but that guy knows how to run special teams

Is it because He's concentrating on wideout that he forgot how to return ?

lol, i dont know what it is honestly, but WRs that become more WR based, tend to fall off return wise. just look at hester. he looks terrible on returns now. maybe someone more knowledgeable on a situation like that can chime in.

This is just my opinion, but it seems to me like he needs to run 100 MPH up the gut, THEN use his quickness to make an outside move if and after he gets through the first wave of defenders. He's going sideways when there are still 11 guys in position to make a play. If he makes the outside move after the 30 or 35 yard line, he can use his speed to take it to the 50 and further. He's making that move at the 6 yard line!! I think you are always best off running it straight up the gut as hard as you can, and if a hole is there, it's there... if not, you at least get to the 25 or further.

Our ST's play has been atrocious on both sides, its not Ginn's fault. By that same token, you should not expect him to break one every time he gets a return.

Maybe not evry time he returns but how about getting past the 30 consistently. He either fall sdown before he gets hit or runs out of bounce. C'mon! More importantly the ST coach has to go. Was anyone else shocked everytime they made a tackle for a short return yesterday. I was holding my breath thinking one is going to the house and we may lose because of it. I don't think I have ever seen a worst coached ST unit then these guys.

Lastly - will someone take Charlie Anderson OFF of ST's. Can this guy run downfield without getting a penalty? That is just brutal. He makes no plays on D and kills them on ST. I thin they FO made some nic epickups but they missed on a few as well like Anderson & Wilford.

It is crystal clear to me that Ginn is doing his best to avoid contact at all cost during his returns. He refuses to hit it up the center of the field at full speed and actually explode. The center of the field on an NFL KOR is not for the faint of heart folks - this is why most teams employ a backup running back who weighs more than 200 pounds for this job. Ginn hits it up the center until about the 12 yard line, then he typically diverts to the sideline looking for peaceful refuge, which means he gives up on the wedge and the planned blocking scheme too early. This plays right into the KO teams' hands as the sideline is actually a 12th defender.

Ginn's only hope is to hit the corner and outrun people to the sideline and pray the containment is lost. This rarely happens due to high end coaching of KO teams whereby players stay in their lanes. Ginn needs to follow his wedge and explode into a crease and head north-south. This takes major nads at the NFL level, and honestly, he doesn't have them.

I think it is due to his new #1 wide reciever duties. Look at Hester, hes been alot worse than Ginn has in returning from some of the Bears games that I have watched. Ginn can get it done, we saw it against Seattle.

I don't know if you watched or listened to the game, but the announcers were saying what you said. They said even Hester hasn't been the same since he's been starting at WR.
