Come on guys...from a fellow finfan to another finfan....i must say this is getting ridiculous. Everyone loves Saban, until he leaves and now everyone hates him.....its childish. Anyone in their right mind woulda left for a 55 million dollar deal....i hate to see Saban leave......but im confident that this is ALL ABOUT MONEY. why else would Saban go to Alabama? MONEY. he is offered a ridiculous contract, so obviously he took it. Now its time to move forward...find another coach. Id love to bring in Cam Cameron and Mike Sherman. Cam though, would probably be better suited for OC.

That's how optimism works. You look at things as optimistically as possible until it becomes blatantly obvious that things arent the way you hoped they were. Without optimism to color your vision you see Saban for what he is a lying snake whose hypocrisy should be taken as a direct insult to the dolphins organization, players and fans.

He is doing it for the money. But the amount is closer to 40 mil and the per year would be less than here. He's not doing it for the amount he's doing it for the ease. He just knows it's guaranteed in Alabama and he wont have to work as hard as he'd need to here.

I cant speak for everyone, but I know that I don't hate Nick, I wanted him to stay here the whole time. That being said, now that he left I am very angry with him for being a liar, not only the fans, and media, but also too guys who were close to him like Wayne, and the players. I wish Saban would have worked out, but for whatever reason he chose to go back to college, he will be disrespected by many fin fans and NFL fans for leaving a losing coach, and a liar.

I think most of us are mad at the BS that Saban fed all the fans, media, players etc on the whole situation. He yelled at reporters for questioning his integrity then left the organization high and dry. He clearly wasnt heading us in the right direction and didnt want to be here so adios!! Now the search is on for a new coach. At this point I dont care who stays on the roster. We need some new faces to get back to playoff football. BTW he didnt get 55 million he got 32 over 8 years (4 per year) which is less per year than the fins were paying him. Fact is he couldnt handle the NFL and he is a *ussy. He didnt even have the balls to show up tonight!! He quit on the team via the phone. What a *itch!

Anyone objective stopped loving Saban after the opening game this year and by week 4 recognized what he was. No better, probably worse than just about anyone else we've had as our HC since big Don. He simply isn't ready and may never be ready to coach in the NFL. He just isn't good enough and I've been saying that for months now. I'm not the only one either.

Exactly, up until today Saban was the only coach I wanted to be the Head Coach. However for being a liar to the fans coaches, and players, I will never cheer for Nick Saban success again. Also that he couldnt even face anyone as he left he got Wayne too do it for him. I could be wrong but that is the way the players probably found out as well, and that is just wrong.

That's funny. He did the same thing to LSU fans by saying he had no interest in the Dolphins job, yet next thing you know, he's off to South Beach. You should've lost respect for him then. :D

I tend to agree with you hear. I liked Nick as a coach, and I most definately didn't put our losing woes all on him. There is no denying this guy is a great coach, and I wish he had stayed to see it through. Just like people say you can't judge if a player is a star or a bust in 2 years, you can't judge a coach like that and you can't judge a franchise like that, so I wish Saban stayed to see it through. All our problems this year seemed to be at QB (the critical ones anyway) so if he had stayed and DRAFTED a great QB and seen it through there was great potential there.

That being said, I am definately PISSED at him for lying, and I did lose some respect for him. I understand that it's a LOT of money, but at the same time, you signed a big contract with us, a contract saying you'd stay for X amount of year, not a contract that said you'd play "high paid interim head coach" til something more lucrative came along. Also, I HATE the way he repeated over and over to our players, our owner, and the fans that he was NOT going to 'Bama, then he did.

So to sum it up, I don't HATE Saban, but I did lose some respect for him because of the way he went about this.
