Would you keep gus for another year and load up on lineman and DB's in the draft or Draft a QB high in next years draft at the expense of possibly missing out on top DB's and lineman???

This is a 2-3 year building process, get a qb in here asap. It will take several years for him to get it all down.

Tough call. But if the right QB is there, we need to take him.
I think both DB's and OL can be found in any round. More so than a QB.

I would try for Rivers and if that didn't work I would go after a Weinke or Schaub. Then I would use the draft to fill all the rest of our needs except I might also try for a lineman in free agency.

Yup. QBs generally take the longest to learn a system and settle down. You dont draft your franchise QB AFTER the team is rebuilt. By the time the QB learns the system and is ready to go, the rest of the team needs rebuilding.

You get the QB in here ASAP and make that your top priority along with a OT and C.

NO WEINKE!!! He had a few nice plays yesterday, and is like 50 years old. I would rather have Simms :shakeno:

Agreed.......there is no quick fix for this team, a QB is a must in the next draft.

I know I may get flamed for this but I would give everything including the Kitchen sink to get Lienhart (sp?). I know he has lots of talent around him but he is just a winner. I luv the way he THINKS as a qb and that is far more important than how far he can throw the ball. Ask Kyle Boller and the Ravens. :rofl3:

Theres no way in hell we get Rivers. We can get our own through the draft. And if we do go the draft route.. you keep frerotte unfortunately..

to get Lienhart you need the number one pick witch means ever yall do awful for the rest of the year or you trade for him IMO there are several talented Qbs besides him in the draft and if yall go 8-8 or worse you will have a god shot at them

i can still remember him taking a knee at the 50 yard line and throwing it out of the endzone.

franchise QBs are hard to come by. but the draft is a gamble. but Leinart looks like the closest thing to a sure thing at QB as you can get.

Weinke? Haha U Have Got To Be Kidding Me. Not Only Is He Just Another Feely But He's Old. He Was An Old College Qb. We Need Youth Bud.

It all depends where we're picking in the draft to say if we pick a T or QB. If we're top 5 and a legit prospect is there then I would take a QB. Our need most is on the O-line so I wouldn't be surprised if we draft a T no matter what. It is a building process, 2-3 years at the least for us to be contenders.
