Wheeler on his way out?

RotoWorld said:
Dolphins LB Philip Wheeler has played just 75 defensive snaps since criticizing the coaching staff following the Week 6 loss to the Packers.

Coincidentally our defense has played MUCH better since the packer game.

I say we keep him for depth overpaid depth yes but depth none the less.

Wheeler is the best fit to this defense in his current position...on the bench the majority of the defensive snaps. if Misi can stay healthy, with Jenkins blossoming, Jordan's athletic ability and McCain's pass rush talents there is little need for a LB that makes gang tackles 8 yards off the LOS. every snap Wheeler is on the bench it is a plus for our D. hopefully we make him a June 1 cut this offseason.

This is the wrong way to think about it. A better way to think about it is addition by subtraction. That's one roster spot we would free up to develop another young player or retain one of our good special teams players, like Freeny or even Trusnik.

Wheeler is just dead weight.

He will be signed by the pats, he will tear it up and we will lose our shi7.

Flush him out with the rest of Ireland's FA turds. The guy ****in sucks.
