Now the pre-season is over, on which day can we expect the major cuts to trim the roster to the 53.

I'm pretty sure it's sometime tommorrow, around 3:00 PM EST. You should start to see a flurry of cuts starting today.

From the time of the player is waived how long do the dolphins have to decide if they want the player? Is there a nfl site we can goto to find what players are cut?

The final cut down is due by 4:00 p.m. Eastern Time August 30th. I would imagine that some players are getting the axe as we speak ...since today is an off day.

There is no waiverwire on preseason cuts.

I Thought all players with less than 4 years experience go through the waiver wire process. We have first pick of all the cuts( other than vested vets). I believe it's 24 hours. Typically NFl announcements come 6-12 hours after that if a claim is made. The claiming team must then make any roster adustments to stay within the limit, I think they have 24 hours to make appropriate cuts.

I'm nervous! Although it looks like the biggest wish is coming true, with Bess making the team. I have a crush on him, and I may even go as far to say it's not even a "man-crush", it's just a straight crush. Oh well, it is what it is.

Go Dolphins!

It will be interesting who becomes available. Dallas will have to make some tough cuts. They have some injuries they have to account for mainly at OL and WR. They just traded for Holland of Denver so thats one less Ol they will be able to keep. Hopefully Berger or McQuistan become available.

Also, there are rumblings that Dallas Special Teams has been lackluster and they are condsidering taking Davis back. They would probably release another DB . Their uninjured WR pool is very thin and they may keep 6 WRs or even claim or trade for one.
It will be very curious to see who becomes available from Dallas and elsewhere.

There will be 2 waves of cuts. The initial 53 cutdown. Then the second round of cuts to accomadate the waiver acquisitions. Because these second wave players originally made it through the first cut, they may actually be more talented.

There is a rule I'm not clear on. It's either waiver wire selections or practice squad signings to the active 53 man roster. I believe they have to remain on the roster for at least 3 weeks.
