When do compensatory draft picks get handed out?

I'd imagine we'd probably get one for Sam Madison and Junior Seau, unless a player being released doesn't count

Players being released don't count. We signed a bunch of free agents so its doubtful we'll get anything.

Hopefully a time will come in the future when we have the combination of sufficient young replacement talent on the team and a savvy enough personnel department to work the system and get more picks.

True, any one player leaving has much less of an effect than being robbed of your HC/GM.
