violaters responsible for thier dumb arse penalties at crucial moments of the game?

I mean, are these morons getting huge fines for stupid penalties? And what's worse is it always seems to be the same guys. Haven't they gone through an infinite amount of drills in their lifetime to suppress the urge to committ a foul at the most inopportune times? Anyone know if there's a limit on the amount a coach can fine a player for penalties, if any? I'm sure there's some sort of protection and guidelines for players but damn, at some point you've got to make them accountable. Fines, benchings, picking up jockstraps, anything to get it through their thick skulls.
As a baseball player, if we made an error we were held over for drills on grounders and flies until we were sick. Not only that, errors, base running mistakes and strikeouts resulted in buying dinners and beer for the entire team. Once you've payed for a 17 man rosters dinner and drinks you think twice about going into a game prepared mentally!

We had this same problem at the start of last year, and after they played together long enough it stopped for the most part. Have a little patience, it should improve as the season wears on, and if not then fire the S.O.B.'s. No, I mean firing squad.

Remember when Bates took over as head coach and would make guys run laps if they made mistakes in practice. I thought that was hilarious yet well deserved. I don't care how old these guys are - if you make stupid mistakes there should be consequences. Everyone makes a mistake now and then - they're human of course but when you consistently jump offsides or have pass interference calls then there has to be a consequence. When you consistently miss your blocks - if there is no consequence what is going to make you fearful of ever doing it again.

Have you ever heard of the NFLPA?

You're telling me that the NFLPA holds the right to protect a player from paying fines which hold merit? You sure about that?

If you are saying that he should fine someone for penalties or STUPID mistakes on the playing field than YES.

With the exception of the latest incident of the Titan's player stomping on another player's head, for every time you can name an incident where the NFLPA did not support a player in an appeal, I can nane 3 where they did.

The Titans player should have been arrested for assault and banned for the rest of the season or maybe even life!

I think he should have been suspended for AT LEAST the rest of the season! I don't think he's out of the woods yet on being charged for assault.

 I did also mention "benchings, picking up jockstraps, anything to get it through their thick skulls", instead of fines.

He is, the player hurt decided not to press charges.

Rather than fine em if its the O-Line who jumps off-sides make the player stand in their stance all day. That Can not be appealed by the NFLPA.

Every jurisdiction is different, but the Gurode not pressing charges is a factor in the DA's choice to prosecute or not. Usually they go hand in hand, but a DA may prosecute even if the victim decides not to "press" charges. There is enough evidence to do so, no cooperation from the victim is needed.

yesterday evening (monday 10/9), the day after posing as a "moron" on the field, LJ Shelton was on 790 sounding for all the world like Kev Carter...sane, lucid, well thought out; verbally astute, keen, and forthright. And from all reports, he's that same way every play of practice, every week, every down. So how'cum he goes "werelineman" on Sundays?
