that the dolphins actually ran a successful screen play? We have to be the worst team in the NFL at executing the screen. I honestly can't recall a successful screen pass since Norv Turner was here.:fire:

Dolphins are the worst at screens, whether its a RB screen or WR. They needa just stick with reverses for that :goof:

And we sucked at it before Turner got here. Honestly, it's weird. This team hasn't been consistantly good at screen passes since the days of Bob Griese.

I would say a big problem for that is the Dolphins o-line always being below average to pull it off. You need good down the field blocking for a screen to work.

I was going to say...I think BG was the last QB we had that could set up a screen. I know why Marino couldn't...he had no back-pedal speed so couldn't carry out the fake properly. He had to just continue his drop until he let it go. Not sure why Fiedler or Gus or anyone else we've had couldn't do it though.

You need for the o-line to sell the fake...not sure why other defenses can tell when we are setting a screen or when we are throwing look-out blocks. The line definitely tips off every one we try to run though.

It's because our Oline sucks.

It's not only the o-line, our QB's have the hardest time making that pass for some reason.Remember Fiedler's pass to Takeo Spikes! The passes are either tipped or overthrown. I honestly cringe each time I see the screen set-up, it's either a wasted down or loss of yards.
