Pennington wont get injured, those days are over, he's a Dolphin now.Beck

Why is this even a thread?
Its a poll
It depends where the team is, in the unlikely event that the Dolphins are like 7-1 when Pennington gets injured then i think you'd have to go to John Beck because he has slightly more playing experience than Henne, and i guess would be more "seasoned" since he's been in the league a year longer. If McCown is on the roster then you probably go to him over Beck or Henne. If we're 0-8 then i'd probably still go to Beck, but wouldn't be unhappy if they went to Henne because at that point the season is over and it's time to see who has what.
EXACTLY. Thats why McCown will be on the roster and Beck wont. Because there isnt a GM in the league that wouldnt agree that as of right now Josh McCown is a better QB than John Beck is. PERIOD.
Thats why this is a great question. Because the answer to the question will tell you who the phins will keep. Two things we know are the Pennington is the starter and Henne is the guy that is the future. Those two things are LOCKED. All that needs to be answered is who is the backup. Who is better suited in the case of a Pennington injury to come in and give us a chance to win? The answer is Josh McCown. Not Beck.
And its exactly why when the first depth chart came out McCown was listed in front of Beck. Obviously so far the FO feels that McCown is the better of the two. No one wants Pennington to get injured, but its a possibility that must be considered.
And the FO isnt planning for 0-8. They are planning to win. That dosent guarentee it will happen. But, thats the plan. So you dont make plans for going 0-8. If we were 0-8, then I would say yea, keep Beck and play him. No need for McCown. But, that isnt the plan. The plan is to win. So they keep McCown incase Pennington has to miss a game or two and McCown will give us the better chance to win between he and Beck.
Face it Beckwagon. Its over.
