When are we going to sign an Offensive Coordinator, QB Coach, Tight Ends Coach and Defensive Line Coach??!!!! We seem to be dragging our feet with getting things done. We hardly hear any Dolphins news whatsoever. We apparently signed Chargers Asst. Strength Coach Matt Schiotz as our Head Strength Coach but no formal announcement was made. It's like everything has to be a secret again!!!! :tantrum:

Maybe Cam is waiting until after the SB? I would love to see Rivera of the Bears on our staff if he is not offered a Head Coaching position.

Where'd u got the news bout the strenght coach?

I am not sure what newspaper it was in but there was just a small blurb at the bottom of an article that said Matt Schiotz was named Strength Coach. I will keep looking for it and let you know.

I just figure he wants to talk to some folks while they're down here for the Super Bowl. I know they were interested in someone from the Colts to replace Quinn. Probably more that we don't know about for the other positions.

Nick Saban hired so much staff i don't think we needed to sign anymore coachs haha ....

The small blurb I was referring to was in the February 3, 2007 Palm Beach Post. It was under the article titled : "QB position may be up for grabs". It simply stated "Cam Cameron said Matt Schiotz was named Strength Coach".

What exactly would he do here? Dom Capers has complete control over the defense and the only opening we have is for defensive line coach. Do you honestly think he'd leave as the defensive coordinator for the NFC Champs to coach our D-Line???

For a chance to coach JT, why not?

I actually have two theories about this. First, I think that they will make all announcements at once when all positions have been filled. Second, while we know that Diron Reynolds is the likely replacement for Coach Quinn, we may wish to interview another member of either the Bears' or Colts' staff for an opening. I would speculate that it is likely for the OC (as I think Carmichael is going to be named QBs coach, since it has been reported he was interviewed and has not been reported that he will return to the Saints). Jim Caldwell, the Colts QBs coach, may be considered for OC, although he holds the title of Assistant HC, so I am not sure if this would qualfy as a promotion. That, or perhaps Wade Wilson, QBs coach of the Bears. Just my own speculation. But I do agree- the delay has been unexpected, though I cant say I am concerned. I am sure most of the positions have been filled and they are waiting to announce them as a group.

No need to worry. The Terry Robiskie signing announcement came out of nowhere, so I am sure Cameron knows what he is doing and getting the job done. I know we all want the staff finished now, but lets not forget that it took Saban until March 1st of 2005 to hire a defensive coordinator. Sure it won't take that long, but just because we don't have our staff 100% complete right now doesn't mean we are dragging our feet.

Plus, our D-Line coach is going to be coaching in the Super Bowl tomorrow with the Colts. We couldn't even hire him right now if we wanted to.

Why would we want Rivera?..We have a great Def Cord in Capers...

Cameron is going to have a hard time getting an offensive coordinator
if he is going to call the plays unless he promotes a QB coach. Zampese and others have told him a flat NO because of that. That demeans the position.
