Disgruntled
Keep in mind that you are talking about TWO guys who are unproven at an NFL level. Not just one in Henne. If people seriously think that five games are enough to judge the play of an unproven rookie then they need to get their heads examined. I defend John Beck because i think he has to be GIVEN more of a chance in real game situations. I would/will do the same for Chad Henne if he plays poorly when he gets the oppertunity to start.
I dont think John Beck is some all-time great sitting on our roster, but i dont think he's someone who we should just cast aside after only a few games. There are plenty of QB's who struggled early in their careers and turned out to be great/very good players, and plenty who struggled early on and turned out to be awful.
At the same time i dont expect Chad Henne to be a perennial pro-bowler simply because he was a good collegiate QB at Michigan like it seems many people on Finheaven do. But if he is going to be, then lets treat the situation right and give him some time to develop rather than throwing him right into the NFL game.
I dont know why Dolphin fans are so impatient, it's like they expect every new QB to be highly successful very quickly like Dan Marino was. Then when he isn't, they quickly want the next guy to step in. Giving guys a chance is what we need to do. Not condem them after a few bad/mediocre games.
