Imo, the last time we saw our team play with passion was last year when Campbell coached his first game. Guys were tackling, flying to the ball, blocking and making plays all over the field. It seemed everyone had everyone else's back but since then there's been none. I haven't seen any passion at all this year. Some guys seem to be going thru the motions. Of course you see Landry doing his thing but as a whole, the team appears dead out there. I don't see the sense of urgency. I see no fire at all on both sides of the ball. The team needs a spark somewhere, somehow. I've said before that the smallest guy on the team might be the one who could provide a spark. Shula was famous for using the players he had. He won by running and then he won by passing. You have a guy on the team that it's a mismatch nightmare and yet we're not using him. We're wasting his talents right now. Returning kicks is very hard these days. Get Grant out there on offense and give him a few touches in space and let him try and spark this team. What in the world do we have to lose? Imagine Grant in NE. BB would turn him into a super star that nobody can cover. Quick passes to him and if the first guy miss he's gone. Great find and glad we kept him on the 53.....NOW USE THE FREAKING GUY!!!!!!

I agree with the 1st part. I'm sooooo tired of these slow starts. Even when a guy makes a GOOD plays, the other 10 are kind "yeah, whatever." Maybe it's hard to get emotional when so much time is 'thinking' instead of 'reacting.' Don't know. But the passion isn't there.

As for Grant, IIRC, he's having trouble with the playbook and routes. That said, a number of us have posted, just get the guy on the field wide by himself. Let's see how the D reacts. Even if he never gets a target, he can help other receivers.

Exactly. Even Grant as a decoy can help. If the offense was clicking and we were scoring a lot then I could understand holding him back. But what's the harm in giving him just a few snaps a game and see if that sparks something which we really need?

That wasn't passion. More like the pats were trying not to get brady hurt and working on the run game. I'm talking about real passion. Have you seen it this year in any of the games?

Haven't seen it, lackluster effort from the first snap.

That's a poor excuse. The pats play to win every game no matter what. We were fired up and beat them at home

I really don't think the issue is lack of heart. I think it's lack of talent across the board. How many of our guys would start on other teams? Landry on offense, for a team that runs 3 WR's, and maybe Jones/Suh on defense? I could see some similar doormat teams wanting others but certainly not playoff teams.

Lack of talent and lack of smarts. For example, Fede last week, Damien williams always making bone headed returns. Dude let Grant field those and go make a block!

They were playing not to lose, and specifically not to lose Brady. Which is ironic because they lost the game and we hurt Brady anyway.

Tennesee game last year...first game for Campbell. After we lost the next...that went away quick, but for one game they really looked good.
