When will Ireland and Parcells Take the blame? The Mistake List, Its long

Admit they messed up ,BIG TIME!!!!!!!!!!!! Numerous of Mistakes in 2 years, yes we won the AFC east but......................... Where are the Positives???????????????????????

Eric Green..............Bust cut
Pat White.............. Bust 2nd round? give me a break
Ernest Wilford...............Bust finally cut, trying him at TE, ?yeah..........okayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy
Josh Mcknown...................Bust, decided to keep Beck instead, Okay we got a late pick for ^
Fasano, looks like a 1 year wonder

Didnt upgrade the WR position
Lost our biggest playmaker corner, Goodman, .....another Mistake
Overpayed Crowder, Garbagem but a good talker
Paying a lot to WAKE, not even Active,
Oh what about MR WILSON, HE sucks , he is the worst saftey I have ever seen, THey overpayed him

Am I missing something? Does this explain 0-3 and maybe 3 and 13

Eric green....bust cut....and???
Pat White....WAY to early to tell
Ernest Wilford....biggest mistake thus far
Josh McCown....traded for a pick, kinda negates the Beck argument
Fasano....who knows whats up with him....spending lots of time helping in blocking

too early to tell if the WR position was upgraded.
Would have completely had to overpay for Goodman
Crowder had them over a barrel, he was the best FA availible. 3 yr deal was a smart move.

Gave Wake next to nothing really. I think he got 1 mil guaranteed????

yes, you are missing a few thing btw....Merling, Langford, Thomas, Ayodele, Ferguson, Smith, Davis, Murphy......we've had more succesfull draft picks in the last 2 years than we have in the last decade. FA aqusitions are questionable thus far....but overall, not too bad IMO.

They have hit on some moves and missed on some but what it will all come down to is whether or not we have a franchise QB on this roster.

If Henne is a bust, then they really f'd b/c they didn't realize that early enough to act on the mistake and try to get a franchise QB while we could have i.e.) by trading for Cutler this past offseason.

If Henne is the real deal, then the FO is doing pretty good by us.

If Henne is a franchise QB, this FO did something nobody since Shula has managed to do!

I think Turner actually can be good but our coach do not have confidence in him instead they have confidence in players that are not doing it.

If the Dolphins wanted Jay Cutler, we should have moved up in the draft in 2006 from 16th to grab him a few years ago when we had a chance. Like the Jets did with Mark Sanchez. Saban was looking closely at Cutler and he chickened out. He didn't want take a risk with a rookie QB probably. Hindsight, of course, is 20/20. We ended up with special teams guy Jason Allen with our #16 1st round pick in 2006 instead. :boohoo:

Jay Cutler did some impressive things in college playing for Vanderbilt. He beat Tennessee AT KNOXVILLE. That was pretty amazing for Vandy. First time in 25 years I think. He got the maximum out of his Vanderbilt offense that's for sure. He did well at the combine too. The big arm was on display.

I was on this board TRYING to drum up support to draft him. People didn't think he was good because he went to Vandy probably. Big mistake. Plenty of good QBs didn't go to the usual top 20 big schools.

Favre went to Southern Mississippi. Super Bowl hero Terry Bradshaw had bad grades so he went to Louisiana Tech. Never know where your next superstar QB might come from. That's why it is critical to have an excellent scouting staff for your team who studies all these guys closely. I HOPE they worked their butts off studying Chad Henne. The fruits of their labor are about to start ripening soon. Let's hope Henne reaps a big harvest for those scouts and us Dolphins fans.

yeah, not the best thread ive read.. not as bad a Rixons though.. thats for sure

I think its more good than bad....difference of opinion I guess.

Think about it thought, it seems like more bad than good

make a pro's and cons list.. Although whats the difference, anyone (not naming names) can spin a pros and cons list into thier own arguement.. There were some bad decisions, and some good ones... As for those FA busts you listed as cons.. Pros to that arguement would be at least the FO saw their mistake and let them go ASAP instead of letting them make the team ****tier than it already is.. The most important moves we need to make.. Trade Ginn, trade Crowder and fire Pissqualoni.. all immediately

Sure we should've drafted Cutler and you could say the same about Matty Ice and even back to Aaron Rodgers in 2005 (instead of Ronnie).

But the point with Cutler is that he actually went on the trading block at only 25 years old and we still didn't make a move. Since we passed on trading for him, that sure as hell better mean that Henne is the real deal and if not, then the F.O. screwed up big time.

Wouldn't that mean 30 other NFL teams screwed up too??

They inherited a roster that went 1-15. The first year on the job they won 11 games, won the division, and made the playoffs. In year two they have lost 3 games. Yes mistakes have been made...... in case you didn't know these players don't come with a guarantee. Every organization makes mistakes.
I would say our young team is in kind of a sophomore slump. No it is not enjoyable but I really do think our FO has us going in the right direction. We are getting players with a gritty hard nosed attitude....... once that is the identity of our team and we get some talent at WR and our inside LB's I think we will become a dominant team. No front office is going to get it right on every move. IMO our FO is doing just what they said they would, building the team from the inside out on offense and defense. That is why we can run the ball and stop the run. IMO now we need some play makers be it through free agency or the draft. Of course a big piece of the puzzle is Henne. His play the rest of the year could have a big impact on our draft.

I think that Cutler was pretty determined to play for the Bears if he got the chance. He grew up in southern Indiana. He was probably a Bears or Colts fan. Maybe he just likes that Midwest scene better.

He sure doesn't like his coaches to be doing sneaky things behind his back that's for sure. He made a real stink getting out of Denver. He seems to be kind of "high strung". Maybe that's a good thing and it shows he's a competitive kind of guy. I don't know. Still ... maybe Parcells and Ireland didn't like the scandal he made or whatever.
