Since he came to Miami taking over for Huizenga I blame him for all the failures of Miami Dolphins football. Brings in a dumb gm in Mike Tannenbaum and hires coaches based on emotion. The day he steps down is the day Miami will be that franchise in the late 80s

    Your thoughts.?

I think he’s learning but TBUM needs to go. I like Grier and Gase tho.

Owners don't step down. That's my thought.

You are asking when the owner is going to step down and you think he is the one with the problem?

Unless I missed something Ross hasn't been accused of something like Mark Cuban, so why would he step down?

Ah. I guess I'd have to know who the prospective buyer would be.

Another multibillionaire that spends whatever is asked of him and doesn't interfere in the football side of things might be difficult to find.

The problem with Ross is that he has no balls. TBum, Grier and the whole ****ing front office should be fired.

He will step down when you are financially successful enough in life to make him an offer for a majority share of the Dolphins organization. So never.

I’d say around May after the draft he’ll announce he’s sold the team.

Sell it to the public...I would be willing to bet that we could run this Organization 100x better than the current.

Problem is Ross has already named and appointed his successor. Beal is the guy and is from New York as well so the grass really isn't any greener on the other side.

I think the team is still highly profitable even with our crappie record the last decade Plus.

Ross wants to win. T-Bum at the moment is a huge problem. Is Ross aware that all the fans want T-Bum gone. I do blame Ross. He needs to man up that T-Bum was a huge mistake. Do it now Ross. It will only get worse

    http://dailydolphin.blog.palmbeachp...o-isnt-planning-to-sell-team-has-a-successor/

The above is from 2016. Bruce Beal is Ross' guy. The article states that it's not automatic but Beal has the first option to buy the team if Ross seals it or if Ross dies. He's a real estate guy like Ross but is only 48 years old. Who knows if he will be wiser on how to build a winner.

Hey listen, I think it's great that Ross has put a bunch of New York guys in charge of the football team, and is preparing to hand the team off to another guy from New York when he retires or dies. That's great.

If there's anything my life spent in South Florida alongside NYC transplants has taught me, it's that everything is better in New York, baby! Never mind why if everything is so great, how come they're down here, but it's New York, baby! That straight open manhole smell that permeates the whole city? You can't get that anywhere else! The crime, the nanny state, the gross infringement of personal rights, the world class income disparity, the traffic jams that even impress Brazilians, that's what I'm talking about, baby.

We're in good hands with Mike Tannenbaum and that other Jets guy we use as a consultant, and this Beal guy, let me tell you.

Your anger is misplaced. The only criticism I have of Ross is that he’s slow in learning some lessons of ownership in the league.
    • His pursuit of Harbaugh was clumsy
    • He held onto Philbin too long
    • He tends to overvalue experience (Tannenbaum)

Not sure that’s a fair assumption of a person most of us probably know very little about.

Hey, maybe we can get Jeter in here as a minority owner! We can save a lot of money by firing all of these Dolphin alumni from their community relations / media positions and replace them with some great guys... from New York, baby!

We will see I suppose. Perhaps Beal's vision for the Dolphins is better and perhaps he understands football better. I my assumption is based on the fact Beal is around Ross all the time and has so much in common that he will have to prove he can run the team better.

Thx for the info. He is probably a very smart businessman, as is Stephen Ross. I guess the big question is whether he has a genuine passion for NFL and hopefully the Dolphins? I'm absolutely sure that the Dolphins are a terrific investment from a financial perspective but if Beal is the designated future owner, it would be good to know if he is emotionally invested in the team, as well. Maybe he should become a minority owner now, so he can progressively learn more about how to be a good owner.

He has a hand-picked successor in the wings- Bruce Beal. When Ross steps down, Beal is the new owner.

The problem with Ross as an owner is he has the same set up that i can only guess he does in the Real Estate Industry. He likes to have one guy answering to him with regards to the project. The situation is though that the guy he has answering to him is usually a buffoon. Ross doesn't know much about football like he does Real Estate so the system doesn't work as well. He needs to go away from this Czar set up and have a GM and Coach that can work together. Besides John Elway, i cannot think of any successful teams in recent memory that have had the set up we currently have.

Yup pretty much. Come back when you have $3-4 billion and can make an offer to take the team off Ross' hands.

Ross's criticism lies in not knowing enough football to hire the right people and get rid of those damaging the team. Gase was a great hire but time to move on from MT.

Yeah I come in Ross on one thing, he'll spend the money. I believe he wants to make the team better but as the previous poster said he doesn't have the football smarts to get the right people in place. I do not understand what he in tbum cuz I see nothing in his history or present dealings that make me see him doing anything good at all.

Wait! Are we trying to fire a guy from something he owns and pays out of his pocket to maintain? Fans..Yikes!

Also, by this threads logic, the majority of owners should step down.

can you tell me when they were fantastic ? yes we were blessed with Marino as our QB and he won us a ton of games by himself, but i wouldn't say we were doing fantastic...

i don't think Ross is the problem, he has opened him wallet up many times but the football people have been really poor since MR.Shula retired, and even he had a crappy D-coordinator at the end...

Hopefully this will work out as well as when Jimmy Johnson’s hand-picked successor was Dave Wannstedt.
