When will we pick a No1 Draft pick thats a sure hit?

When will we pick a No1 that is a bonafide Franchise player? Jason Allen? Dont go there! Ginn was a wasted pick for a No1. Jake Long is still too early to judge but even his pass blocking is coming into question.
What do we have to do to get a Franchise player??? Its getting boring now with our lame picks. About time we DESERVED a player who can walk the walk and contribute to winning games by great individual effort and stats.
 
Dude, Jake has played in TWO games!!!! Have some patience and try not to jump to conclusions. How many players can you name that were "franchise" players in their rookie years within the first 2 games?
 
Next year when we take sure, Hall Of Famer, Vontae Davis CB, Illinois, with our first round pick!

I think next year u will see that jake long and ted ginn are pro bowl players. This year they are learning on a bad team. This year Ginn is learning 2 run good routs and he is pulling the coverage his way we are not seeing big plays cus yhe QB cant throw deep. And if u dont see that Long will b an all pro your crazy. It takes a little time 2 get used 2 playing against a 34 d. Jason Allen will b our starting corner by the end of the year. He looked okay playing corner at the end of kc game.

I can't believe that we would even discuss Jake Long being a hit or miss after 2 games. I guess some folks have huge expectations.

I hate to break it to you but Ginn isnt tough enough to stay in the nfl and it shows while he is returning punts and all he was a bad pick and it s the truth as ugly as it is .
I think the first poster has a good question I mean nobody nation wis ever talks about our first round picks in a positive light and ronnie was a #2 pick three years ago and nobody even acknowledges him.

the biggest question is why have we wasted picks on fullbacks and then cut them this is my biggest grip. our front office is our weakest link in terms of draft picks.
 
Well I can say alot of your fans will continue to compare him to Joe Thomas and his rookie season.

I will say calm down about Jake, he was not as ready to be a LT in the league, as of yet, and he also does not have a Pro Bowl LG playing next to him either. Do NOT give up on Jake yet, I think he will be a very good LT the second best on in the AFCE behind Jason Peters and prob top 5 in the AFC(of course coming from me) for years to come.

judging by the top 32 players coming into next years draft,Id say that not only us,but almost every team will hit,or some what of the fact...this might go down as one of the best 1st round drafts in years for the NFL....at least,it seems so...so far...

please dont tell us to calm down about one of OUR PLAYERS. your post is hidded with sarcasm, your not foolin anybody with your weak compliments.

No there is no Sarcasm, with the exception of wanting him to be below Peters every year.

I actually think he will be a very good LT. You just need to get off his back, Yes he is NOT Joe Thomas, but he also is NOT playing next to a Probowl LG either, so I hate to say it but I do like him as a LT.

Would I love to see him turn out like Gallery OF COURSE. But I also know that he is not going to. Instead he will be the best LT this team has seen since Webb.
