I guess this means hiring a defensive-minded coach is completely off the table since a defensive coach would want his own guys.

Question now becomes how many of those defensive assistant coaches actually want to stay in Miami after the Flores firing. I'd think some would like to leave.
If Flores were to get the HC job in New York with the Giants, its possible he takes several coaches with him to New York? I'd also think Patrick Graham would stay with Flores as his DC. Just my speculation.

I watched inspector gadget when i was younger. He never did say go go gadget dick though which was disappointing.

Every time he's made a change, Ross has failed/refused to clean house completely. He fires the HC and keeps the GM. He fires the GM and keeps the HC... over and over again. Now, he fired Flores and kept Grier. Even worse, not only did he fail to fire Grier, but he wants the new HC to keep the old HC's defensive coaching staff. I don't care if this is Ross' idea or Grier's idea; either way it's dumb.
Maybe it's not true and just a rumor, or maybe it's been discussed with candidates as a suggestion and not a command. If it is true, then the fans who think that Miami will never be successful with Ross as the owner are probably right.

Dumbo Ross has been the #1 problem with this team since he took over as the owner! It all starts at the top and he has been a clueless pathetic owner when it comes to hiring the right people to run his team!

This isnt good news. Im not saying that keeping our Defensive staff isnt good but this will certainly affect who will take this job. There seems to be a lot of caveats with this position.

Ross didn't really do that, did he? Maybe you guys should start a petition to ask him to do that so you can sleep at night.
