I only saw one time A.J looked deep on a playaction but he ended up throwing it away because no was open.I don't recall any other time when A.J was looking to throw deep.

I thought the Dolphins were going to be looking deep at least six time per game?

Ask the O-line! Hard to throw deep when someone is in your face right after the snap. Mcmike and gordon saved Feeley from getting killed more then once!

I couldn't agree more. Feeley barely had time to throw short passes.

Exactly. How can you expect any productivity in the passing game with a line that performs as bad as they did last night. It was depressing to say the least.

The recievers need time to get open (AKA beat the safeties) and the QB doesnt have that long to wait with our O Line. If you throw deepballs to early you hangout your recievers for big hits from the safety. I think the one time we did throw somewhat deep Booker took a decent shot from the safety.

Let be honest.

At first the pass protection was ok before all hell broke lose.

It's becoming clear that Chris Foerester is in over his head. Wanstedt has already missed on the starting QB and offensive coordinator job. Both very costly mistakes and we are only moving into wk 3. By mid season we'll have the worst record of any team in the league.

True.. its hard to wait for a route to develop with all 3 LB's blitzing.. but... errr I mean BUT... a simple little pass to a RB in the flat would have exploited the blitz... was that ever called? no

What about screen plays? was that ever called? I think there was one attempt... and it failed..

These are just two plays that an inexperienced fan like myself knows is a counter to aggressive blitzing. I am sure a REAL offensive coordinator has a dozen plays designed to counter the blitz... how come we never called them? everyone and their brother knew the Bengals were going to blitz.

Also, I have to give credit to the Bengals OC... those fake reverses did set up the one reverse that gained 9 yards.. It was easy to see the Bengals had a game plan for the offense and for the most part, they were sticking to it..

Our offensive game plan sucked hind t*tty

This is exactly what i was thinking while watching the game...but then i realized that we didn't really have time to throw the deep ball, unless we could have 10 guys blocking :(

If I remember right, Nate Webster was in the backfield evry play, even before our running backs got the ball. We made him look like Ray Lewis!

There was a point last night.. when they used the overhead shot on a play...There were no receivers more than 10-12yrds downfield.
Nice job in spreading the defense dave

No time! he spent it running for his life!

In order to throw downfield you need a little time, which AJ had none. Why we didn`t use the shotgun, or roll him out of the pocket to buy him some time? Can`t say I`m overly impressed with Chris Foerester so far. I`d rather see Trestman as OC.
