I know this team got alot younger cross the board last year, with another draft and hopefully some great picks, could we be both one of the youngest teams in the league and still compete in our Division, and if so This spells big trouble for our Division Foes and the rest of the NFL over the next 3-5 years.
I am loving the Young talent on this Team, we are slowly but surely putting together something REAL SPECIAL here guys, FASTEN your seatbelts.
Go Miami.

The offense is already the youngest offense in the league. When Henne takes over it will be even younger.

The defense though is a lot older than the offense with Yeremiah Bell, Joey Porter, Jason Ferguson, Will Allen all on the other side of 30 (and Ayodele will be 30 right after the season starts).. That's almost half of your defense (it was more than half with Goodman last year and with Holliday in rotation at DE)... And That's why I wouldn't mind if the dolphins spent every draft pick on the defense next month.

It was a good idea not resigning Andre Goodman for that money as he was another older guy and the dolphins need to get younger on that side of the ball.

I believe we'll make a big change to our average age this offseason. We're definitely going to get younger in the secondary, there's just no other choice there. We're going to replace Holliday with a young guy and I'm sure we're looking for our eventual replacement for Ferguson, but not sure we'll get it this offseason unless it is supposed to be Tony McDaniel in combo with Starks. I think our LB corps is going to be majorly reshuffled this offseason as I expect two LB's to be drafted, at least one of which will likely be on the first day.

So yeah, our defense will get younger. Offensively, I think we'll stay about the same age-wise as most of our players are set except for RG, WR2, and FB. Still, it would be hard for those positions to get much younger as they're already manned by young players. With our starters a year older, I could see our avg. age go up on offense.

Draft defense with every pick next month unless an offensive player who's high on their board drops significantly.

I figure the first 4 picks will be on defense, unless a WR that they like drops to them in one of those picks. It would not surprise me if we trade out of the 1st round for additional picks.
