Where does Drew Mormino fit in next year

hopefully he's ready to play somewhere next year. it'd be nice to get a look at this kid and see if he's worth the pick we spent on him. the talk around him was pretty positive coming out of CMU... so hopefully he's back and ready to go this year. it'd be really nice to know we have another solid young lineman from last years draft.

I dont think he'll play Guard unless he really plays well. Parcells puts a big emphasis on having taller linemen with longer reaches. He likes 6'4"+ guys. I think odds are Mormino will end up backing up Satele.

i hope he can develop into a starter...otherwise another bum pick by randycam

That's what I was thinking. Mormino played some C at Central Michigan. He'll serve as a valuable backup to Satele.

A 6th round pick that doesn't develop into a starter IMO wouldn't be a bum pick. If he provides good depth along the lines that is about par for me. Anything more is just gravy.

Disgustipate, I don't know Drew's reach, but he is reported as 6'3" - 6'4"

I hope he can Play LT for us
no way he plays LT. I think parcells will Get either a FA or draft a LT. but believe me he is gonna be a big guy. id love jeff otah...6-5...340...absolute beast. help our line alot. barry richardson maybe in the third. hes a big guy too. as for mormino he might play guard. i dont know if he will start at the begining of the year

Mormino was barely 300 pounds so he needs to add some muscle

He may be only 300 lbs. but he was the strongest guy on the team last year. I think he was the strongest guy at the combo last year. I think he can end up being our starting guard this year. Remember until he tore his shoulder he was starting ahead of Hadnot.

Wrong on both counts I think. the general consensus was that he needed to get stronger and bigger.

To be honest that whole Mormino, Alabi thing was to get both Hadnot and Shelton motivated, nothing more. Thats why Hadnot and Shelton played the same positions on the 2nd team.

He was a 6th round pick. He can't be considered a bust. The most we should expect is good depth. Anything more is great.

I think him and Alabi are gone if they don't have very good camps. Sparano said in his press conference that you shouldn't have to wonder what this guy brings to the table. After the second year if your still guess than you didn't do you home work. It's year 3 for both and neither has done a thing except have nagging injuries. Hope they stay healthy and contribute but history shows they will probably be gone.

He could play at C, he could play some G, or he could be off the team altogether. How he handles(d) this offseason will determine where they want to play him and what impact he'll have, if any, on this team in the future. We'd all love for him to become a pro-bowl starter, but we can't be terribly disappointed if he doesn't. Wait and see good sirs, wait and see.

what is the prognosis on joe toledo. do we still have him,is he ever going to be healthy enough to play.

if memory serves me correct, he is OL as well.
