Bess had a great game and was as much of a reason why we won today as Henne. He isn't a do everything receiver, but he makes the plays that are there to be made and shows why he is a very solid component of the passing attack. His performance today reminds me of why our receiving corps has been so poor this year, and in my mind the problem was that we were relying far too much upon the guys who hadn't shown that they could make plays with the game on the line instead of the guys we rode to the playoffs last year.
I don't know why the whole get the ball to Ginn while we're behind philosophy came to be, but when you've got guys like Bess and Camarillo who always make the play in the key situations then why are you going away from them? We're a better team for having moved on from emphasizing Ginn, even though he sprinkled in a nice and crucial catch today that's all his role should ever be.
