where is the pass rush going to come from on this team?... it's one of the main things i'll be watching for tonight, as well as all summer...

Porter and Holliday? anyone else?

honestly, who leads this team in sacks? I guess Porter is the safe choice...

i'm not saying we won't have any... i'm simply offering this up for discussion...

Well, if the experiment goes in the right direction, one can only hope Matt Roth will do solid at OLB. Coming off the edge against a TE or HB may help him a lot.

Matt Roth? Can't see that happening.

Charlie Anderson used to be a pass rusher in college, and now he'll be able to do that all over again. Anderson and Moses should be our main pass rush threats, Porter might be our SOLB

Whomever wins the ROLB job will be our primary rusher. Both Anderson and Moses are quick enough to do a decent job, but I'm not sure how they will fare as both are unproven. Our pass rush rush, particularly from the OLB's, is defininitely going to be a focal point under any Tuna regime.

Um i honestly don't know but i think that is probably going to be one of the weaknesses of our team and is probably going to be addressed next year. If i had to guess i would say Joey Porter or barage of different safety and corner blitzes.

Parcells defense rarely uses inside LB's for blitzing, so that rules those guys out. I thinkin Proter leads the team and someone else will have a few. I think it will be a weakness on this team this year, but that doesn't really concren me so much. I wanna see us stop the run. Our pass rush last year wasn't great, even with JT. If we can't stop the run, our pass rush won't matter bc teams won't bother passing. They'll just run it down our throats. If we stop the run this yr, I'll overlook a lack of passrushers...Rome wasn't built in a day. Neither is an NFL team. Something we can address next yr.

aggressive and intuitive scheming. more scheme than talent this year. in the future better talent and scheme

Pass rush starts with the d-line, even in a 3-4. NT Jason Ferguson will occupy blockers and get a push in the middle. The ends (probably Holliday, Langford) also occupy space and get a push, while the rush linebackers come in and hopefully just need to elude a back or tight end and force the QB towards the middle (rush) or to get rid of the ball early. The outside linebackers don;t need to be pro-bowlers, just good. Look at Pittsburgh. Joey Porter left and everyone thought it would kill them but some no name stepped in and did almost as good. The pass rush will depend on the d-line creating opportunites for the linebackers.
