What a horrible game played by the whole secondary and specially our leading receiver chambers. He dropped the most important passes. Why did welker caught all his passes and chambers was dropping balls like if they were bouncy potatoes. Dante did well but our leading receiver didn't appear where he needed to. Some even goes as far as saying that brown is back-up caliber but for his first starting game without sharing carries with anyone, he did a wonderful job running over defenders and scoring for us. ON the other hand, chambers flopped our game and had his butt handed by Ike Taylor the whole game while missing catches.

here we go again...

I think any Dolphins fan by now knows Chambers is a slow starter. He does so every year. He is still trying to get in sync with Culpepper and the rest of the offesnse.

And I only saw one drop and it was a bullet that went through his hands.

so lemme guess you're ready to give up on Chambers already then right? you and everyone else here was just praising how good he had of a season last year....the pro bowl wide receiver is gonna have an awesome year....another quitter...im tired of it really I am.

Everyone, step back from the ledge - it's the first game of the year. DC will be fine in that offense..just remember, the Steelers are the SB champs. Although Rothlisberger was out, they're defenese did not change.

New QB, new schemes, new coaches and you ALMOST had the SB champs at THEY'RE HOME FIELD! GET A GRIP FOR GOODNESS SAKE!

Culpepper will be fine, the O-line seemed shaky at times and Nick is not ENTIRELY to blame for the late challenge regardless if he got it in or not. That comes IMMEDIATELY from the Fins personnel up top. They must inform Saban RIGHT AWAY to challenge.

3rd and 2 call was daring - if the LT had actually completed his assignment in chopping or shedding the attacking safety, that was going to gain a lot of yards. From the replay that I saw, the entire defensive line crashed rght and the LB's bit right....if the LT makes the play, OC is a genius.

The concern you should have is the lack of pressure from the right side and or the LB's not getting in. Your DB is only as good as the pressure your front 7 creates.

And this whole thing about offensive coordinators doing a bad job about not getting the ball to Chambers or McMike. THIS iS NOT MADDEN on your XBOX where you can throw to these guys at any given time. The Pittsburg LB's are fast which controlled McMike w/ support from their outstanding safeties. On the other side, CC was covered by Taylor all night with bracket support from Troy. As a SMART QB, you don't throw their way when the defense shows thse alignments - hence Welker getting the looks from DC. This is already an immediate upgrade from your QB's last year, when your primary targets are accounted for, you look for your secondary targets- expect a big year from Welker in the slot. If anything, I LOVED the playcalls the OC was making, the trip lefts bunch to counter the blitzes is pure genius.

GET A GRIP IT'S THE FIRST GAME!

LMAO - now if I disappear next week after the oakland game, send out an alert--if we lose to oak, I just might be on that same ledge you guys are on tonight :-)

You know what noone seems to remember is he was blanketed I mean blanketed by Ike Taylor and Palamalu the entire game, they played him extremely well. Its going to be tough for him to get touches becuase teams are going to be gunning for him, but he'll still get his touches....again only week one folks.

That's a very weak and lame excuse.. WTF is training camp and preseason for ? It's so players can be ready NOW !! He is a professional and should take his craft seriously and not dog it for a month into the season every year. These are important games early in the season and is the difference between the playoffs or not..

Well I am not down on either CPep or Chambers as they have both been on my Dynasty team for years... however I am curious to ask those die hard fin fans...

Do you think the miscommications between CPep and Chambers were caused by...

a) CPep throwing the ball to the wrong route...

b) Chambers running wrong route...

c) combination

Culpepper tried to get the ball to chambers early, but never threw it accuratly to him. it was always off target.

he got better as the game went on, but he just didnt throw to him as much and he should have.

everyone might like welker, but noone really wants to see him getting more yards than chambers.

You forgot D) , which is he let the ball hit him in the facemask in the end zone instead of catching what should have been an easy touchdown.. We are tied at 14 at that point, and with the TD in the 3rd quarter we are up 21-14 instead of 17-14 .

Last season we won all 9 games when we scored 21 points or more. We lost all 7 games we scored 20 points or less.. So yes, that was a huge drop.. Getting a TD right before the half may have made us more confident later in the game, instead of settling for 3 and being down by 4 at the half.. That may have been the game right there.

Chambers will be fine but i have to say the slow starter excuse is a bit lame IMO. the guy is now a pro bowler. What i witnessed last night in the passing game obviously wasnt what we got last season. Slants isnt going to get Chambers back in the Pro Bowl. Welker was great in the 1st Half. Booker was unlucky with his injury. Amazed me how Madden kept on about him falling on the ball when it was obvious he hit his helmet off the floor. Hagan wasnt on the field much, was dissapointed with that.

Fickle fans. Those of you who saw what good we did last night and are willing to build on that, you're real fans. The rest of you doom and gloomers should move up to New York where the Jet fans actually make a point of our fans being fickle. Go up there and ruin their fan base.

Booker may lead us this year at the WR position. BTW what the hell was up with us not challenging that catch he had where he got injured? Was it me or did anyone else think that was a abosulute catch?

Must be just you, because the ball hit the ground and he had no control. He should have caught that, but oh well.

As for Chambers, every ball going his way was being batted out of the way by Ike Taylor, who is the best shut down corner in the league.

Daunte could have gone deep with Chambers several times. Chambers had the DB's beat before Daunte threw the INT to Troy. I keep watching that preview and Chambers had like 5-6 steps ahead of everyone, plus he was running pretty fast. Had Daunte pumped it and then threw, we would be praising Chambers right now.

It's alright. We will get back into this. Remember we have a faily easy schedule.

i also had a few... but it was a catch. saban wanted to challege, but after a talk with the ref he didnt, i guess he couldnt.

i also remember a great catch by a steeler player that hit the ground but was not reviewed. (he kinda dove and the ball hit his chest and then he snatched it out of the air).
