Does it matter that Dan Marino never got a ring?

I was sitting at my desk at work, and all my co-workers started throwing wadded paper at me saying: "No ring! No Ring!"

I am in Boise, Idaho.. Nothing but Seattle Land-chicken and Denver "Burro" fans. I remember thinking to myself.."Will we ever see another like Dan?" I dropped my jaw when I saw the news on nfl.com. i almost wept. (BDEEP BREATH!)

Now he is in the HOF, which I think is more of an accomplishment than getting ONE ring. Think about it.....Does Mark Ripien have a chance to get into the Hall? Not that big of a deal... WHERE WERE YOU AT WHEN OUR WORLD CHANGED?

I was at the training camp complex with others out front. As Marino and his family left the facility, he rolled down his window to wave at us and thanks us for all of the well wishes and support.

Did he look as if he wanted to play another year? you know how you can tell... the reason a started this thread is I have a really good feeling about John Beck, and it just made me want to remember who built this team from '84 to 2000. :beer1:

Where was i? my head was still hurting from the 63-7 thrashing...

I can't remember... that might've been a DARK week!

I was at home and read on the net that the Fins and Marino were going to hold a press conference. I knew this would be the bad news that sorry *** Wanny had forced Marino into retirement. I soon decided to call in sick from work that day and watch all the P.C. and news coverage. A sad day I still refer to as "Black Monday the 13th" (3-13-00)
