48 hours is just a gut feeling, because for some reason I see him signing late Tuesday night or early Wednesday morning. If he doesn't sign by the weekend, I will go into full panic mode.

Take this with a grain a salt. While it isn't on the PFT site, I talked to Mike Florio, and he is saying that Todd France is waiting for Braylon Edwards' deal to be done before getting Ronnie's deal done. Once again, this comes from the main guy at PFT so take it for what it is worth.

Yeah it seems like that could be a part of this trying to maximize his players money instead of just taking whatever % less than Smith contract to wait and see what the #3 pick gets. In case Edwards get more money than expected.

ronnie's fine. we have him in a corner sitting on a foot stool under a swinging lightbulb being fed cheese nips - one every twelve minutes.
