And why?

Im in Australia so have not seen any fins games, but just going by the numbers, Chris chambers and Randy McMike have not lived up to my expectations, although CC usually finishes the season strongly.

Reggie Howard - I honestly thought he would be better in the new defense, but he has been worse... :shakeno:

Jason Taylor. He's still had a good year but he was supposed be the sack king in the NFL from lining up in multiple positions on the defense. That was a bit overhyped.

Gus, i thought we was at least an average QB. He has been so bad that its hard to watch this year. cant complain as much as last year though bc Feeley was worse

all so you got to remember the injury though... its the same injury that put Eric Johnson (SF TE) out for the year...

Hm...

I think I have been most disappointed in just how low the mighty Sam Madison have fallen. It's really sad. Especially since with the other guys we're throwing out there in our secondary... if Madison was even close to old self he'd never even see a pass thrown his way, not when they could throw towards Howard instead.

I expecte sub-mediocrity from Gus, and that is exactly what I got, so I can't say I'm actually disappointed in him. I am disappointed that we got him, but that's different.

Oh, I'm forgetting the obvious... forget Madison... I have been the most disappointed in Chris Chambers and, to a lesser extent, Randy McMichaels. They have both been enormous disappointments to me. I was hoping the billion passes they just flat dropped last year were just a glitch.

On Offense :

Chambers (what a poor year this guy is having)
McMichael (yes he was at LOS a lot to help block, but still he is a dissapointment to me)
Boston ( what a shame that this guy can´t stay healthy)

On Defense

Sam Madison (boy is he regressing fast)
Reggie Howard ( i think he needs to go and fast)
Junior Seau ( he just can´t stay healthy anymore)
Matt Roth ( he has shown nothing to solify that 2nd round pick we spend on him)

Bright Spots

On Offense

O-line (its mind boggling that almost the same crew can play solid ball with just a new coach)
Wes Welker (he is doing very well and hope they give him a long term contract soon)

Defense

Traylor ( the guy was giving us a spark the first few weeks, but given his age it looks like he is getting tired)
Crowder ( he has shown flashes)
Daniels (see crowder)

Madison's decline didn't just start. He was bad through last year. It's not just this coverage skills. Watch him. He has been failing to use his arms when tackling for years. He really tries to throw a shoulder into the runner and make him fall down. I have witnessed countless "tackles" where he launches himself without extending his arms. Good ball carriers just bounce off and keep going. I can't understand why he was allowed to maintain this style of play.

Chambers and Madison get my vote. Madison's decline (especially his tackling) opens the door for him, and don't let it hit him in the butt.

Defense - Howard / Madison / Taylor / Seau / Schulters / Jones

Offense - Frerotte / Chambers / Booker / McMike / Evans {especially after seeing him play for the Pats} / McDougal / Carey....

PHINZ RULE!!!
