Washington plays five games against opponents with extra rest this year. That's the most in the NFL. The Redskins have three games against teams coming off bye weeks and two games against teams coming off a Thursday game. That's a very high number; it's almost one-third of Washington's schedule.

Some teams should be much happier with their draw. The Miami Dolphins, Cincinnati Bengals, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Atlanta Falcons, Carolina Panthers and Arizona Cardinals don't play any games against teams coming off a bye or a Thursday night game.

That's exactly what I posted on the night the schedules were released, that the Dolphins received extraordinary benefit in terms of where our opponents were slated a week earlier. We have one home game after another in which that road team also played on the road a week earlier. One of them -- the Ravens -- plays road Monday night within its division and then is sent on the road again on a short week to face the Dolphins. That's almost unheard of. Normally the road Monday team either plays at home the following week or has some type of break.

This is the most favorable schedule from a situational standpoint that I can remember. No excuses.

Tennessee has 4 straight home games with a bye mixed in. I've never seen that.

One of them is vs Miami too.

There is no way to satisfy everyone.....just like it is not fair to have an NFC South with crappy teams making the playoffs...but that's the way it is.
