Which of the presumed Top 3 RB's in the draft would you want if we go that way in the mid first, early second round?!

Which of these three RB's would you want if given the choice in the 1st or 2nd round?

Harris will be a top 15 pick in my estimation. Just too good an offensive threat to pass up. Dreams of Derrick Henry. Etienne will be floating around in late first when he’s snatched up by a playoff caliber team just to add some bling to a loaded offense, like Clyde edwards helaire was with the chiefs last year. Williams will go mid second at worst.

I like Travis or Javonte the most..I too think Najee may go before we pick..he'll be there at 18 if we're lucky..Travis reminds me a bit of Alvin Kamara...he's pretty special himself..little bit stronger in the pass game..i think he could do a lot for this offense we're building. If we can somehow get Travis or Javonte in the second round I will be very happy!

Would prefer either Harris or Williams so they can also handle short yardage work.

I hope they do get one of them, even though RB’s aren’t really en vogue. RB’s get the ball a lot, and good ones get the ball a whole lot. First downs and goal line touchdowns still matter. And the chances of losing a handoff vs a bad route, drop, or bad throw are minuscule compared to a wide receiver. Grind him down on a rookie contract and move on.

Idk..if we get Jones in free agency a first round rb becomes less likely so maybe early or mid second..is the earliest we get one!

I don’t want us to go RB in round 1 period. We have too many needs with too many good players at other key positions that will be available @18. Going with RB in the second with 2a I think is a lot smarter.

Harris, big and powerful and has every good trait but to me isn’t special at any 1 Thing. But is very solid.

ETN, just has pure explosion and acceleration and can take it to the house at any time, but not a between the tackles power back.

Having said that, while I love both Harris and ETN, and would be happy with either. I think Williams is much more explosive at the point of contact and more of a natural tackle breaker without losing stride. He reminds me a lot of Jacobs with maybe more power. Similar to Ricky Williams, just not that same top level. But He can blow people up blocking as well. He’s just so physical and is so different from anyone on our roster now. A true power back with acceleration.

Bottom line, we actually have 2 pretty good move/cut/scat back type guys now on our roster in Gaskin and Ahmed. We need a different type altogether from them. A true grinder power back type guy IMO. I think that guy is Williams.

What if we trade down from 18 to like 26 or up from 2nd round to like 30-32?! Then?!

Yo if we get Aaron Jones and pay him big $$ we better ****ing not even think about drafting a RB in the first 3 rounds.
We'd be set with Jones and Gaskin and we shouldn't spend any kind of high draft capital on a back if that ends up being the case. I wouldn't care if we took a 6th round flier on a kid but nothing more than that.

Anyway, I wouldn't hate Harris at 18 but we MUST draft a wide receiver in the first 2 rounds. This WR draft class is absolutely loaded and we need a speedy, explosive playmaker, preferably before pick 36... Preferably we trade up from 18 by using 18 and 50 to get Waddle after taking Pitts and 3 and then grab Javonte Williams at 36... Ideal draft rounds 1 and 2.

I am down for that! Pitts is my homeboy! Pitts and waddle...DAMN!

IDK, yea maybe. But there are too many good LB’ers and Edge rushers that will be there in the top 20 picks. If we move down, pick up an extra pick, then a little bit of a reach for RB at the end of the 1st might not be a bad idea. However, if we sign a FA RB and spend a lot of $$ on, which I hope we don’t, then we shouldn’t draft a RB in the first 3 rounds IMO.

I hope we get an interior OLineman, WR, and either LB or edge rush guy via FA. Maybe another S as well. If we can get 3 or 4 quality starters, then it completely opens up our draft board other then the obvious speed WR taken early.
