Frerotte: latter third of year has shown splashes of talent, ability to throw downfield, avoid the rush. Veteran presence.
Rosenfels: after Cleveland, looked to be a gonner but seems more poised. 2 comebacks impressive, 6ft 4in tall, young. May be a bit scary to say goodbye if we don't have better option.
Cleo: we know very little except speculative superlatives.
If a solid FA, trade or rook such as Cutler appears, who goes?
Probably Cleo unless dynamite in preseason. Trust Saban knows...

I think Frerotte will be back next year. Lemon will probably still be 3rd string and we will draft a rookie.

It looks like we may keep 4 QB's on the roster because it looks like all 3 of our current QB's deserve a job next year.

im thinking we might foolish to not keep sage around. He might not be a starter but he is really proving to be a heck of a backup. he's winning more games for us than losing (when he is needed)

If we draft a QB then im for keeping Gus and Sage. If we bring in a vet then I would imagine he would be replacing Gus and we would end up with Sage and lemon or Sage and a rookie from the daft.

Granted he hasn't had an opportunity, Lemon has done nothing. He has shown nothing. Who is Lemon? :goof:

Frerotte cannot play well through an entire season. He is a good backup QB. I would feel good if he had to come in and finish a game or play for a 3 or 4 game stretch.

Sage has shown some really promising stuff lately. Aside from the Browns game, when there was TOO much unneeded pressure, Sage has done well. He played great against Buffalo, and he got things going against the Jets after a few 3 and outs. That shows that he doesn't give up easy. He will battle for starting job in offseason/preseason '06.

Miami will need to trade up and draft a good QB or keep Lemon. Whoever it is, that young QB will compete with Sage for starting job. If neither shows promise, Frerotte will start the '06 season and then come out and be replaced at some point. I don't see Frerotte lasting as the starter for another entire season.

get rid of rosenfels

Why? He is demonstrably better than Gus.

If your point is to get rid of both and bring in new blood, i don't think that's unreasonable.

But any plan to keep Gus and dump Sage is just flat stupid.

Gus stinks. He's stunk for 12 years. He's worse this year than Sage, who has hardly even gotten to get any experience. That's a sad comment on Gus.

Gus went into today the 27th ranked qb with an embarrassing rating of 70.8.

His rating today was in the freaking 50's. So when the stats are finalized he will probably fall to 28th or 29th rank (which is just sad) and have a SUB 70 rating (which is humiliating).

There is not one reason Gus deserves a spot on this team.

wat was rosenfels rating in the cleveland game and really what did he do for 3 quaters in the oakland game

He was on the bench in Oakland and his rating was probably just a little lower than Gus's.

i completely agree.

dont know why people prefer gus over sage.

i guess gus lovers are pissed that sage helped us WIN another game and it wasn't b/c of their boy gus.

How can people love what Gus has done whatever that is and hate what Sage has done.

The definition of Insanity is doing he same thing over and over again and expecting differant results. This according to Einstein. I have my sources.

As I understand it Sage is a FA in '06.

Sure as eggs are eggs, there'll be a Spielman type GM willing to overpay for him. I'm not saying I don't want him back, but that somebody else will offer him more than what the 'phins will.

what was gus's rating in the cleveland game?

dont bring up that game as an argument.

THEY BOTH STUNK IN CLEVELAND.

since you are an ignorant person, here are the stats for that game.

sage was 5-10 for 17 yards and 2 INTS
gus was 4-18 and 53 yards.

THEY BOTH STUNK.
