Which QB in this draft do you think has the most intelligence at the position and is the best decision maker?Not the guy with the most physical talent.
 
there's no way to accurately determine that. Maybe using completion percentage, but that has as much to do with the WR as the QB.

True. There is no direct way to determine this,maybe looking at interceptions would slightly help. I was more looking for peoples opinions. I asked because the ability to read defenses and know when to throw or not to throw is what I feel is the key ingredient for a QB to be successful at the pro level. Trying to see some diamond in the rough candidates.
 
another thing could be to look at the systems they work in. Brady Quinn is constantly throwing to 6-7 different receivers in a game (and not just all backs too!), which indicates that Weis is comfortable with him making reads. The difference between TDs and Ints might help too, although you'd want to weight it to account for the different number of pass attempts. If you did that, I think you'd see Brohm skyrocket on the intelligence meter, and someone like Colt Brennan or Jamarcus Russell fall a little bit.

as for smart QBs, i would put Brohm first and Quinn second

Hard to say because level of comp may not be equal, but:

Brohm
Quinn
Chap from Hawaii (name escapes me)
Russell
Troy from Ohio...

I believe that Russell, Quinn, & Brohm are all fantastic prospects and would be thrilled to get any one of them...that being said, the player that I'd prefer over all other is Joe Thomas. Best player in the draft!

What about Colt Brennan? He must have been do something right. Impressive numbers.....
 
Brian Brohm has the most yards per a game, better than Brady Quinn and Jamarcus Russel, Brohm has only 4 INTs on the season, thats fewer than Quinn and Russell. Brohm also hasnt thrown more than 1 INT in a game. I would say Brian Brohm has the most intelligence, Brohm hardley ever makes mistakes
 
Brian Brohm - The most complete QB available
Jamarcus Russell - Steve McNair in the making.
Colt Brennan - Havent seen one of his games this year so I'm going on others scouting reports
Brady Quinn - Seems to panic with a strong pass rush but comes from great coaching
Troy Smith - 2nd round or later - good value
Kevin Kolb - Three year projet that has loads of potential but you need patience
Drew Stanton - Worth a 3rd
 
Quinn and Brohm are the top intellectual signal callers in the draft. Quinn reminds me a lot of Matt Leinart, who fell to the bottom of the top 10 last year. he's not doing so bad in Arizona with that horrible OL of theirs.
