Which Dolphin rookie has the best chance of doing these things this season:

1) Tannehill starting 6 games

2) Martin allowing only 3 sacks from the right side

3) Vernon collecting 5 sacks

4) Egnew hauling in 30 catches

5) Miller scoring 2 TD's on returns

6) Kaddu registering 3 sacks

7) Cunningham catching 20 passes

8) Randall starting 1 game

9) Matthews scoring 2 TD's

I'd go with 7, Only b.c cunningham gets a lot opportunities due to our below average receiving corps

Im hoping it's all 9...............

3 and 7 have the best chance to happen. Miller scoring 2 TDs will happen im just not sure its just on returns. Should be an interesting year.

Kudos and +R to the OP for a different, realistic and thought-provoking thread that's a breath of fresh air. Boiled down to either Egnew's 30 plus catches or Vernon's 5 sacks -

Ended up going with Egnew's receptions as more likely.

I hope for MArtin only allowing 3 sacks- because if that happens our O-line will have become our strength. WOW how crazy would that be??

I will say i think Lamar Miller scoring 2 TD's on returns. I really hope he has the balls to run it up in there and let it all hang out without being scared of being hit. If he does that he is quick enough and has the footwork to take it to the house. This would be a huge boost to our ST's play.

1) I hope not to see Tannehill on the field this year...so no to this one.
2) Martin could give up 3 sacks to Mario Williams in just one game. He'll give up less sacks and pressure than Colombo but I'm not sure how much help he'll have from the RG (whoever that is). No to this one.
3) I can see Vernon getting 5-8 sacks this year.
4) Egnew could easily fill the roll David Martin had here when Martin and Fasano tag teamed for 65 catches, 904 yards and 10 TDs...each had over 30 receptions...different offense but I see them being used the same way as 2008. I say yes to this.
5) I don't see this happening. Special teams is so much more than just the return man and I don't know that we have the depth and special teams players to make this happen.
6) He seems to have a knack for getting in the backfield from what I've seen but my guess is we use him sparingly and most likely in coverage but I haven't seen the defense yet to know so I'll have to say no to this one.
7) I'm expecting the TEs to get very involved in the offense, Hartline and Bess will get a lot of run and I believe Reggie Bush is going to get very involved in the passing game as well. I also expect Gates to take the next step in the process and be more involved in the offense as well. Don't see Cunningham getting 20 receptions.
8) Odrick, McDaniel, Starks, Soliai are all in front of him. It could happen if someone gets hurt but if everyone stays healthy don't see it.
9) I have my doubt about Matthews and Cunningham making the team and considering our WRs haven't been very good at catching touchdowns 2 TDs from a rookie would probably be a really high mark...not to mention all the receivers in front of him. This is a no.

I love this question. I'll go with Vernon getting 5 sacks - he's only scratched the surface.

Egnew is just a receiving tight end for the most part, I could se him catching a lot of balls.

I'd go with with Lamar Miller taking 2 to the house.

Op should bump this thread at the end of the year to see who got it right
