tie between surtain and ogunleye. we lost a shutdown corner who we couldnt replace. then we lost a great, young pass rusher who we also couldnt replace. you might even be able to add carter to that list considering how bad our d line was this year and how awesomely bad roth ended up being.

 Nothing is funnier when someone tries to correct someone else's grammer and spells grammar wrong.

As for the thread, it's hands down Ricky Williams. We're still recovering from the mess he put us in.

#8....RW was a pro bowl rb, who if he was SANE was a guy to build around.

I don't think it was any of the departures that have hurt us, I think it's the one addition we didn't make and that's a replacement for the most important position on the field. We lost one of the best if not THE best QB in NFL history and up to now have not come anywhere near finding a new QB to hang our hat on. No one is, well some are, looking for the Next Marino, or Montana, or whoever, but at least someone that we can count on to go out and win football games. All have been average at best and that's not good enough. We had not one, but two chances to get Drew Brees, and I don't think he's the BEST QB in the NFL but I do believe he's above average and I believe were he our QB, we wouldn't have any more ?'s about that position and could focus on others. So while collectively, each of the players you mentioned we have probably won us more than one game last year, I don't think any of them are good enough individually to have made a difference in last years record and performance.

Kevin Carter. That line was awesome when he was here. D-lines that get to the QB erase a lot of mistakes the rest of the defense makes.
