O.k. we need defense, and yes we all know that we need offense. but no matter how much we come to this forum as fans, we are still by standers and only non-paticipants with other people's agenda.

Parcells, has to make a dramatic change in his focus and in his draft. He's time is running out. He is in the 4th quarter of his time zone departure date.

Coaches make different decisions in the 4th quarter then they do in the other 3. so don't count parcells out of any changes to his strategy.

their will be some drastic changes, perhaps even sign pennington and throw him in earlier quarters to set tempo, and pull him in and out like we did with white.

Perhaps bring in a diva, like belli did with moss.

Perhaps keep spending more money, despite mistakes. owners not cheap why should parcells care.

but they made the biggest decision in their mind that was stirring all year, when they dumped an old and tired DC.

Parcells shot his load on offense last year, and the defense paid for it, now it defense. is it the right decision?

we need a no#1, receiver, no#1 tight-end, or do we need a defense.

think the question is in the firing of dc. that's where all the answers lie.

regardless of our dream of drafting offense.

whay cant we have both. I mean it isnt a crime tro draft te and rb in rds 1 and 2 then draft 3 linebackers and a defensive end who can rush the qb and then use f/a for wr and olineman and safety .
I can see us bringing in a vet teightend and a vet wr and then draft all defense which I woulod not openly oppose.

1. Big Tuna really is in the 3rd quarter of his 4 year contract. It´s true you never know as he holds all the cards but he doesn´t leave without finishing the job.
2. Our starting QB as of now, is and will be Chad, but no chance it's Pennington unless maybe in other capacity.
3. No chance Big Tuna would even consider bringing in a dogging disruptive diva like Moss, TO or so.
4. No chance of spending big money again, it´s not Parcells style, even with Wilfork or Seymour available, and he is content with our WR's and TE's for sure, so he won't look for any of them in FA or the draft again.
5. Our priorities for the draft obviously are on defense, specially NT, ILB and FS, so we'll see.

parcells shot his load on offense last year? where?

our first 2 pics were defenders! we signed gibril wilson as
our high end free agent.

and not matter what was done, its what panned out!

we cant score points! and even with the holes in this years defense,
were close enough to win most of the others, at least 4 had we had any
real playmaker on offense. in other words a BIG TIME, DEFENSES HAVE
TO GAME PLAN FOR, SCORING THREAT WR!!!!

points win. he with the most points at the end of the game WINS!

hey, sometimes you have to step up on offense. look at the packers.

there defense was one of the top rated this year and having the defensive
player of the year on there squad. but, the cards jumped out and got all
over there defense and there dpoty! now, had they been a stout D and
a cloud of dirt team, it would have been long over after the first quarter.

but, the packers have playmakers! they have game changers on offense and
they used it to come back from a HUGE deficit and dang near win. but, the
better OFFENSE triumphed over the better defense. why? arizona has a plethora
of talented, pro bowl quality wr's and a great qb.

we have brought in lbs and dt's and de's for years now trying bolster the defense
under that lame old, fanatasy land "defense wins championships" mentality.

where has it gotten us?

what we need to do is go after PLAYMAKERS! guys who can SCORE! who are
DOMINANT in big games, against big talent. trade, free agency, draft, what
ever. but this team needs to change its approach and get 2 big time wrs'
[get bolden and draft golden tate #12] giving us boldin and heartline on
the ends and tate and bess underneith making huge plays on lbs and nickle
cb's. you couldnt live with that?

there is REAL GOOD lb depth in this draft. there is NO nt i would draft in the top
top 20, and i love terrance cody. so lets get this team some firepower!

its now a passing leauge with the rules favoring the wr's and passing game. teams
are building up to score and we cant be waiting around another decade hoping to
put together another magical ravens dominant defense and run game cinderella superbowl team.

tate gives us a big time scoring threat, great hands, great moves and is a demon
on special teams. 2 players in one.

laughing? check out his stats from a big school and a pro style offense. 1400+ yds
and double digit td's [14?] and 2 rushing td's for scores.

if we dont take him, the jets will. rumour has it the bills love him also.

we need this kind of razzle dazzle, desean jackson type player on this team.

remember how many laughed at ANY idea of drafting him? all the to small, takes
4 years to develope, you can get a pro bowl wr in the 7th round, its a scientific
fact posts and he is another ted ginn excuses. who would laugh now at drafting him?

and i PROMISE YOU, if we dont grab tate, if he is there when the jets are
picking, he IS there choice. and you wont like having to play against tate
twice a year with the stinkin' jets.

THEN you will see production. you will miraculously see our defense looking
much better not having to carry the team every game and playing with leads
instead of come from behinds and nail biters every week. scoring does that
for a team. defense is great! it is much needed, ball controll offense is great,
but, in the nfl, you have to be ready to step on the gas at anytime and if there
is no gas in the tank, well.........

if we land boldin in the off season and mcclain is there, i could live with that
[although i like brandon graham much better]. parcells loves huge lb's in his
3-4 schemes and graham fits the bill. i havnt seen a player in years that can get
off blocks and split double teams like he can. he is a tackling, tfl demon!

and, he has the power and strength to play DE in the 3-4. this is a guy you can
really disguise things with.

and... there is still a rumour around that ADDRIANE CLAIBORNE may be changing
his mind and opting for the nfl. he is another guy i like better than rolondo
mcclain.

if we get lb's in free agency or trade in the offseason, then i want offense at
#12. dez will be gone so golden tate is the next best thing [maybe better]
and gives us two needed positions [wr and return man] with one pic.

if mcclain is all everyone thinks he is, he will not fall to us. and i dont believe
he is worth what we would have to give to move up and take him. i would
rather stand pat and take tate or brandon graham or claiborne if he comes out.

Rolando McClain is 6'4" and 258 lbs. They don't get much bigger than that when it comes to a linebacker. Plus he is acclimated with a 3-4 scheme. He would be a steal at 12.

And I worry more about playing against Moss and Edwards twice a year than I do Tate.

It takes time for rookies to become acclimated to the NFL. I wouldn't have expected Vontae and Sean to play much better than they did. We also drafted two WRs, one of which has shown flashes of #1 potential in regular season action.

That's simply not true. We were fifteenth in the league in points per game, higher than teams with legitimate weapons like the Broncos and Panthers. We scored six fewer points than the Cowboys. Our offense isn't elite, but it kept us in several games down the stretch, games that our defense seemed to determined to piss away. We were pretty OK on offense despite an O-line in flux, the loss of our best RB Ronnie Brown, and the loss our starting QB Chad Pennington.

By contrast, we were one of the worst scoring defenses in the league. Only the Lions, Bucs, Giants, Titans, Chiefs, and Rams allowed more points than us. Our defense was atrocious. We gave up the third most passing plays of above 20 yards. We were tied with the Detroit ****ing Lions, who are a year removed from being the worst team ever, in passing plays allowed of above 40 yards. We are a MUCH better team on offense than we are on defense.

Yeah, I like what you said. I feel the same about most of the things you mentioned, WELL DONE! That is what we need...

DEFENSE.........if you cant stop anyone you're not going to win many games-Bill Parcells

The offense is fine, we can score points it they will only get better with time. The problem with the offense was playing catch up. When Henne had to throw 30 plus times he made mistakes like most rookies QB do. Let this Offense use its strength of running the ball and play action and Henne will be a top 15 QB. I would draft a TE and bring in a veteran #2 WR to compete and a NT via FA....if no TE is available in FA then draft one in 3rd rd if value is there. NT-pay the money and get Wilfork

Draft- with the 12th pick we should be able to get a impact OLB, with the next pick go ILB. If we dont get wilfork then go NT with two picks. I believe we have 8 picks int the draft, I would go OLB-2 picks. ILB-2 picks, TE-1 pick, NT-2 picks and DL-1 pick. FA-NT, WR, CB not sure if allen will be 100% by sept....
