Could be as early as 2019. This is sweet!
We need to just switch full time to throwbacks. The majority of fans want it so get it done.
Why sell only throwback gear when they can sell both current and throwback gear? All about that $$$.
Slow shift with the motion sickness stuff eventually considered the throwbacks
Franchise can save face and not admit to such a gross error, which corporations are reluctant to do
Those were the best hands down.
Everyone knows the throwbacks are the best uniforms. They tried to incorporate some aspects of the throwbacks into the new uniforms this year. It was a huge improvement. The all white 72’s are my favorite! Can’t wait to see it
I have never cared for white, aqua always looks better
Dolphins started wearing current aqua throwbacks in 2015, which should mean they can’t change until 2020...
Because the current uniforms are ugly and reek of Philbin/Ireland. The whole concept, including the logo and number font, was a mistake and they need to move on from it. Reminds me of New Coke from the 1980s
I love the throwbacks as much as anyone, but I’m afraid to open any uniform-related threads here because they all devolve into the same thing. And even if everyone on the planet suddenly felt the same way, they can’t change for five years anyhow, so there’s no point in constantly bringing it up...
The uniform released a month ago reeks of Jeff Ireland?
Huge sweeping changes from last year's in your opinion? Subtle at best.
Not true. We currently don't have a "Color Rush" uniform or a 4th alternate which is allowed by league rules. This all-white would be our color rush alternative.
While I generally agree, I think our new whites are the best looking jersey in football currently.
I have been wanting a white throwback #10 Strock for many, many years.....
Wow, you're real old school. I like it !!!
That subtle change made a massive difference to me... The bold orange, and thick orange outlines and removal of navy trim made them feel like the Dolphins again to me. They looked very sharp tonight!
I will admit the orange outline did stick out more than I expected, and is a major improvement, as was the change back to aqua (this was needed, that other blue shade was just bad). Both changes stuck out more to me than they did when the wake-tannehill pics were released a couple of months ago.
I will walk my comment back a bit after seeing it live action, definitely an improvement, but those throwbacks...
Until this thread I didn't even remember anything had changed with our uniforms this year.
I couldn't disagree more. I always thought Miami's white uniforms were the best color combination and classiest uniforms in the whole league. The aqua always felt a little too "clownish" and geared toward children for my liking.
Put it this way, if you like the new **** you’re basically a Tannehill believer and a blind homer. You probably think the whole Ross era has been a success, you probably say stupid things like phins up! You probably thought it was cool when Ross brought in the b-list celebrities. You would probably like to have lunch with Mike Tannenbaum instead of kicking his *** out of town. You probably don’t live here, and you probably never went to the Orange bowl . You also probably posted that this is a playoff team
The rest of us are a little smarter than the average poster. We don’t buy that Tannehill is anything other than a bottom 20 qb. We don’t like what’s gone in around this team for the last say, 25 years. We also know that this team sucks and will struggle to win 6 games. It’s called reality, and most of you don’t live there, you live in fantasyland
cant happen for another 5 years since they changed them for this season
Great post would read again.
LOL, this is the saddest post I've ever read here. I think it may be time for you to hang up watching Miami and just loop pre-1993 NFL Films. Now if you'll excuse me I have a lunch with Mike but have to pick up my Tannehill jersey on the way while blasting my Fergie music. Playoffs here we come! #FINSUP
Damn I miss those! Sickest uniforms imo.
There should be a 10 drink limit with alcohol on the forum.
The shade of aqua was not changed, it just looks different because of the change in orange.
Put it this way, opinions are like assholes. Everyone has one.
The rest of us?
Hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey ... Woah there, pal ... Slow your roll on that damn noise.
"Bottom 20 QB" ? So you're saying that he could be as high as #12 of the 32 starting QBs in the league?
Awesome. Those look great.
This year, I like the orange border. At least that’s a step.
But I don’t like the shade of the dark jersey and the logo is not good. I’d prefer that color we have all seen when Tony Nathan took that lateral on the hook and lateral play. So, I’m saying a shade closer to dark blue and less teal or aqua or whatever that is now. It looks like it should be on a baby’s onesie not a football player.
