Sorry if this was already posted: I heard on WQAM that Pat White will play in the 2nd quarter today so that he can show what he can do behind the starting o-line. Henne will play at the end of the game. I think White looked much better than his numbers from last week suggested and it will be interesting to see how he does with better protection and versus better opponents.

While I have no problem seeing White early, why only play Henne in the 4th???

This is a big-time opportunity for White and that is for many reasons.

Wow that tells me the coaching staff was pleased with what White did last week. I think Henne will play most of the 4th game. Chad will play most of the third, so this is White last opp to play significant minutes before the season.

Well i think they will give him only the second and let henne make adjustments over the half and play the entire second half.

We will find out. I think it is smart cause white will have some packages where he plays with the 1st team O-line so this is the perfect opportunity for him to do so.

I doubt this has any meaning beside the fact they want him to get practice taking exchanges from the center on the first team.

GO FINS!!!!

Because White deserves a shot as well. No proof at all that Henne is the future of this Franchise and it's good to see White is given aa chance to see what he can do.

I can't imagine they will run much wildcat (so not to give too much away), but maybe we'll see a "vanilla" play or two out of that formation with P. White and the 1st team o-line. No matter what plays they run, it should be fun to watch.

Maybe it's Sparano letting Henne know he better pick it up.

They just said on the pre game show that Henne will play 3rd and 4th because staff wants to see him at the end of a game and are hoping it's close so they can run the 2 min. He may also play the last drive of the 1st half, for same reason.

If he doesnt look a lot better against future truck drivers in the 4th, he could be in trouble.

I didn't think he looked that bad last week. Infant for a second year player in his first preseason game of the year he looked better then I expected. Looking around the league at actual starters last week, most looked pretty off there (A) game, which is totally normal.

I am inclined to agree with you. I would like to see White against the Carolina's starters and 2nd teamers. Hard to judge his performance last week when he played against future CFL and UFL players as well as a few car salesman.
