can't read defense nor pass the ball in stride. other words...GUS FRERROTE except with the mistakes.

I actually think that he'll be a pretty good QB in the NFL....I think he'll be better than Gus....he's got the talent....just needs to be consistent...only time will tell I guess.

Ozzy rules!!

I tend to agree with you there. He does seem like he can make the throws. Just needs to learn to read the defense better. At the Senior bowl he probably played better than the other QB's there. So there is potential. Especially for a mid round pick.

He needs some work, no doubt. Not a bad project in the 4th-5th round area.

He has all you could ask for in a pro-type QB. That being said...he needs A LOT of coaching at the NFL level. I'd grab him in the 4th in a heartbeat. He could wind up being one of the "steals" of the draft.

He is an exellent QB prospect for the NFL. Arm strength will be above average once he is fully recovered from his surgery.

He ran a spread offense (tight end used) that was balanced with the running game. In his senior year, he was allowed to audible at the line of scrimmage which led to better results and a higher completion percentage (ability to read a defense). His accuracy is good. Has a nice over-head delivery. Solid intangables. Plays well is close games.

I agree, you never know. But I wont lie, if we really wait til the 4th round of the draft to go after a QB, Im gonna worry. But if we got the shot at him, I say take it.

What about Croyle in the second, or Olson in the third, and then also taking Whitehurst in the 4th or 5th? Two young QBs to compete and groom them both for relativly cheep and keep Gus there as insurance and as a mentor

He is the kind of guy that will be able to sit in the pocket and pick apart defenses. He will be the kind of QB that doesn't do well without time in the pocket.

after seeing this guy in the senior bowl and vs miami and fsu this year i have only but good thoughts on him...i like his arm and he seems comfortable in the pocket...he has great awarness around him and the only thing i say he needs to work on is reading coverages a little but more but with time im sure he be great....when it comes down to it ihope he is still there in the 3rd and we get him...but i have this strange thought more and more either we will trade down to snag cutler or i am thinking somehow someway we will get him....

I like him and he has the tools to be a good QB, but he needs a LOT of work if he'll ever be anything in the NFL. I would take him in the 4th.

I like solid intangibles. No one ever mentions them but they always seem to show up in great QB's. Montana and Marino had the ability to control games with there minds. That is why I like Vince Young. He has the heart of a Champion.
