Who are you keeping an eye on tonight?

1. Offensive 1st team rythm- Are we getting ourselves in a good position to convert 3rd downs? Is Feeley in control of the offense? If we can put together some 3-4 series drives I'll be pretty pleased.

2. Offensive line- Is there running room? From most accounts the line has looked 100% better in TC, but this will be their first test. If the first unit protects Feeley and creates some room for Gordon, I am on my way to being a believer.

3. Our RB situation- A lot of things to watch here. For one, does Ricky look like he can still run, and is the lack of weight gonna hurt him? Also, with Ronnie holding out Morris and Gordon will be competing for a good amount of playing time for at least the first 4 games. I am especially interested in Gordon, as he didn't show us much last year. If he looks good, we could have some nice trade bait when Ricky returns.

4. The secondary- Major overhaul in personnel, as well as philosophy. Can Daniels handle the starting job as a rookie? I actually expect the secondary to look a little rough tonight, as in the regular season I think our gameplanning will cover some of our secondary weaknesses (ala the Patriots).

5. The defensive line/backers- A lot of new schemes this year. We probably won't see too much tonight, but I at least hope to see the DL pushing back the OL and hopefully shutting down the running game.

6. The young guys- After the starting units leave, I turn my attention to individual performances. Obviously we wanna see how the rookies perform, but also we'll get a look at Frerotte, Boston, and our offensive line depth.

I will be glued to the TV tonight. In a lot of ways I think we are gonna see a "light" version of the 2005 Dolphins, as for the first time in a very long time in the regular season we will be gameplanning to exploit opposing teams' weaknesses. Nonetheless, there are some definite things to watch for that will give us a little insight as to what we can expect to see from our team this year.

Ricky....can he still run the ball with speed and power....will our O-Line give our QB time to throw, and how are the D-Backs doing.

1) If Grossman can beat our D with his arm

2) Rickys effectiveness - hopefully he gets to play against the Bears' starters.

3) Saban - Observing a master at work :D

Sadly I will be at work, but I am recording it. I am psyched!!!

I will be watching closely Feeley. I don't care about INT'S or INC. I wanna see if he is still staring down his receivers. INC and INT'S are gonna naturally happen. Every QB throws them. But if he is locking on to his WR'S it will happen alot more often. I am pulling for AJ theonly thing holding him back IMO is him locking on to WR'S plus him not reading the ILB. Or atleast it was last year.

Remember Feeley is going into his 3rd straight game without an INT LOL

Secondly Travis Daniels. Closing speed and containment on his WR I will be looking for.

Lastly I am looking forward to watching Ricky

I will be looking at everyone closely but specifically the o line.

Well, I echo a lot of what was said. I would like to see how our D-line and O-line work. It is a cliche but if those to units can play well, the rest should come easier.

I also will keep an eye on Wes Welker. He may take some playing time away from Thompson or Boston this season if he can keep up the good work. Plus, I would like to see him back in form returning punts/kickoffs.

The last two players I will watch closely will be Zach Thomas and Jason Taylor. Those two are the heart of the defense ( along with Madison ) and I want to see how they are adjusting to the new defense. Afterall, if those two can't get in sync, it doesn't bode well for the rest of the team.
