We have depth but, not everywhere.

Which player, if injured, can we NOT afford to lose?

I think if Ronnie goes down it will be the most detrimental. Daunte and maybe Zach coming in a near second. I would be pretty worried about this season if we cannot rely on ronnie to be our horse the entire year.

Well because QB is the most important position if Daunte went down and Harrington had to play the best i could see us doing is 9-7.

I agree with Phinz420. Ronnie would be a big loss if he gets hurt for an extended period of time. Sammy Morris is a good backup, but I don't see him as a guy who can start ten games at halfback and gain 80-100 yards a game.

Daunte would be second. I think despite what Joey Harrington says, he needs to regain his confidence. Being a part of that awful Detroit team would take a toll on anyone's psyche, especially when you're "the savior" of a team that won't save itself. I feel that he could be good if he'd come in for a few games, but a best case scenario would be him sitting on the sidelines and doing mop up duty with a winning team under a first class coaching staff.

Defensively, I'd say Zach and JT. Derrick Pope is a good backup, but teams won't gameplan around him. Losing JT would be horrendous. VERY few teams block JT one on one, so that frees up the LE in the 4-3 and we just don't have another linebacker with the pass rushing ability of Taylor.

I think Chambers is right there with Brown. We only have rookies, with potential, to extend the field if he goes down.

This would create a problem for DC or JH as the opposing D would stack the box.

I agree completely with this list. After that, I think our offensive line is still painfully thin. It's only a few injuries to the o-line before guys like Alabi and Toledo get really significant playing time.

I would not disagree with Ronnie, but think about if Chambers goes down. Do you feel comfortable putting out Booker and Hagan as our 2 starting WRs? Here is my list in order:

1. Culpepper
2. Brown
3. Chambers
4. Thomas
5. Taylor

What about the two "Irish" guys on the OL?

Great pick but, I don't think he's apt to be injured. At least, I hope not. :)

Zach by far. Our offense can succeed w/o a Brown, a Cpep, a Chambers, or a McMichael. Zach would be the biggest loss on defense and on the whole team.

I'm not afraid of having Harrington, Morris out there week 1, Losing Chambers or McMichael would be tuff hits to the passing game. My list.

Zach
Ronnie
Culpepper
Chambers
Taylor
