Going into this coming draft, we have one pick in each round except the 5th where we have none. Instead of trading FOR players in desperation (we aren't going anywhere with our QB situation), why not try to trade some guys away for picks, even late rounders if we can get them?

Is there a team that thinks they need a Center in order to make a run? I'd trade Pouncey if I could - even for a 7th. Carroo is another interesting option - he really is unnecessary and might fetch a 6th from someone.

I'd like to see us head into the draft with 3-4 more picks than we currently have lined up. Thoughts?

I say we trade McCain for the cat. Did you see those moves?

Landry. He is going to cost too much to sign next season. Of course that probably makes him un-tradable.

I mean we have better and younger players we can unload for better picks like Landry and Parker.

I seriously doubt there would be any takers on Landry. We'd likely ask for at least a 2nd and there is the risk his new team only gets him for half a season unless they want to give him the big pay deal he's after, which I doubt he gets - so he goes into free agency.

I don't think we've handled this very well and either we loose him to FA next year and no return or... We rediculously over pay for a slot wr whose statistical production should be able to be replaced at a much cheaper price.

It could be OV all over again. Unless the Front Office are betting on him not getting the big deal he wants. But then again, would he really want to return?

If anyone was trading for Landry, they would have to do it with only having him for half a season to make a post season run in mind. That's what we also would have to think in asking. I say we trade anyone that is not going to contribute to the success of this team long term. And trade them for whatever we can get. Not sure who that should be, but I would do it.

Damien Williams, Jordan Phillips, Caroo, or Pouncey (If someone would take that contract).

Those would be my top candidates that we could potentially deal and get at least some sort of return on.

A trade partner could always tag Landry. ~$16M isn't too bad for a 1.5 year rental.

Oh no, they'll always be takers especially for a WR of his caliber. Landry just needs to understand that he is not going to be paid like a top 5 wideout.

This is along the lines of what I'm thinking. See if we can get a return, anything, on guys we know aren't going to be here or will have to be upgraded next year. These 4 guys don't really figure into our plans IMO and if we can get 4 picks - no matter what round - I think we do it.

Williams is the only RB that we have that can block.

Pouncey is damaged goods AND too expensive.

Caroo....ya as stated above, no one is giving us anything for Caroo.

Phillips....maybe, but wed get maybe a 6th for him.
