I posted this as a reply, but wanted it as it's own thread.

I am tired of this Capers makes more than the head coach B.S.! Capers contract was done before Camerons, there were teams intrested in Capers as their DC, mainly the Giants. Wayne had to throw a good contract at him to get him to stay. Capers proved himself last year, as we had a pretty good D, and a Def POY. Cameron came in, and Wayne negotiated his contract without even taking Capers contract into consideartion. Camerons contact is on par with the NFL for a 1st year head coach. It has nothing to do with Capers, and the fact that Capers makes more money doesn't mean anything when it comes to FOOTBALL decisions. Randy, with the input of Cam and others on the team will make personnel decisions. Come game day Cam will make the game decisions, TO INCLUDE DEFENSE, with the input of Capers and the other coaches, ultimately Cam makes all the game decisions; there is no 2 headed monster.

I agree 110%. Dom did a fantastic job with the defense this year, and he deserves the contract he got. If Cam turns this team around I'm sure Wayne won't have any problem renegotiating and give him a new (fat) contract.
 
Dom has earned the $$ he makes with the success of the defense under his direction. If Cam earns or more than earns the $$ he's making, then i'm sure that Wanye will renegotiate with him at some point. I think right now it's a non-issue and something that talk show hosts use/need to help fill time on their show.
 
As was already pointed out in the other thread Dom isn't making more money it was falsely reported by the media:

"Make no mistake, Cameron is also the boss -- not just a glorified offensive coordinator. He has the final say in all coaching matters for the Dolphins, even if his contract of $10 million over four years is close in range to the contract Capers signed.

I'm not concerned about who makes more money, but Cam may be. But on the other hand, he probably isn't otherwise he wouldn't have agreed to come here...

That's why I think this is a non-issue. The only person that should/would have the right to complain would be Cam, and last time I checked, he signed the contract and was happy to be here. So, next page. :D

Exactly, I read these posts about who is the real boss, or will 2 people lead the team, or what if the team struggles, who will the players side with. I guess there has been so much drama over the last few years, fans try to look to deep into something to find more. Let's move on and support our new coach and BOSS, CAM Cameron!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Go Phins!
