Who did we miss more this season? Pat Surtain or Sammy Knight?

Im saying Pat Surtain...

Marino.....

seriously if you are going to go that route if you are going to "keep" Surtain or Knight you mush cut Roth and alot of cash.

I think Surtain would have been more useful in the short run but this year and next year ask the question again.

Neither player would have put us in the playoffs

I'm not so sure that a great player (Surtain) in the secondary wouldn't have pushed us into the playoffs. We only needed to win one more game to make it (if it was a division game) and with our extremely close losses to the Bills, Pats and Jets it is probable that a good corner could have made a difference in those games. However, for the long run it was the right thing to do to trade them because even if we made the playoffs our team wasn't where it needs to be to make a SB run.

Maybe

I'm personally not big into what ifs and could ofs but I believe for us to have made the playoffs we had to win 2 more divisional games. I don't know for sure but all the playoff scenerios were against us.

So we clearly needed to win at New England, but if we did do you think the Pats would have played their junior varsity team against us the last game?

But you never know, you believe they would have made the playoffs, I think we still would not have, no right or wrong when it comes to opinions.

23 no question about it.

He was my favorite dolphin too. He really liked to nail WRs...

I loved what Sammy had done before he came here. (Led league in ints last five years.) But I thought he was a disappointment, maybe lost a step. The New England game in OT stands out in particular. Not his man, but blown coverage down field and no catch up speed. Surtain hands down.:boohoo:

Sammy wanted bigger money and you can't blame him for leaving...we just have to find a guy a two who can boost up our secondary. Maybe Huff or someone like him.
